Eumarella Shores Noosa Lake Retreat
Ranked #46 of 141 Speciality Lodging in Noosa
Certificate of Excellence

When we tried to book online, we couldn't find what we were looking for on the block of 3 nights. So I rang 'em up and picked up this 2 bedroom luxury pavilion at the shores of lake weyba for a good price.

Architecturally designed Pavilion has big deck over looking the waters which is perfect sunny afternoon with beers. Bedrooms are en-suite with spa. Everything was clean and neat. Kitchen was good enough to cook for a group rather just a family. As someone esle said, it is great for weddings.

Kayaking - It was fun. Please do it in early mornings when there are no or less breeze coming from the Sea. Late afternoon are breezy and with possible tidal waves it would be difficult to manoeuvre.

Overall we had very relaxed and fun filled holidays.

PS: Always ring them if you can't accommodation online.

Recently spent 2 nights at Eumarella shores staying in Cormorant cottage and loved it. The cottage is built right on the waters edge, is well designed and private with a lovely deck set amongst the native forest. It had everything you could possibly want for a relaxing stay and is only 10 mins to Noosa but with the benefit of feeling like you are a lot further away. The cottage had it's own lake platform and canoe, perfect for fishing or just going for an explore of the lake. Great place, will definitely go back when next in the area.

Room Tip: Treetops, Cormorant and Gentle Jane are all private, beautiful cottages with great decks.

We stayed at this property as part of a group attending a wedding. It was a perfect location - set amongst the gum trees, with kangaroos and bush turkeys roaming the grounds and Lake Weyba providing the waterfont aspect. The 'cottage' was more a luxury 2 bedroom Queenslander - with quaility furnishings, full kitchen and lakefront views. We stayed in Buena Vista - which we can highly recommend. The property is about 20mins drive from Noosa and is suited to those who prefer a bush rather than beach type of getaway.

Room Tip: There are different quality cabins - be careful when choosing that you are aware of the differences

I would just like to express how much we enjoyed our recent stay at Eumarella Shores. It was a wonderful experience for Miss 6 and Master 8, catching mudcrabs, kyaking in the lake and having visits from all the wildlife and my husband and I truly relaxed in very comfortable surrounds. We were extremely happy with the position and layout of our Lake House. This place is a must if you are sick of the concrete jungle resorts with no personality and no individualism, it is good value for money, has comfortable furniture and the kitchen and laundry are set up superbly. If you are looking for some serenity, beautiful veiws and individual private surrounds this is the place to stay. I also really liked the fact that local products were available for use, handmade soap (we went to the Eumundi Markets and stocked up for home) Nut Works cereal (which we visited on the way home and loved) and local dairy products (yogurt and milk) and so on. WELL DONE! All the personal touches made the holiday break just that more special. Thank You Sue S
Only suggestion I would make, is to have pool.

We stayed here in August 2011 in the lakefront luxury home, not a cabin, its a 3 bedroom with two spas, a huge verandah overlooking the lake and a full size kitchen, great for self catering. The living area is HUGE, we only used one bedroom bat the feeling of space was fantastic, the spa was great. The palce is very quiet and relaxing, very private, but only a short drive to Noosa and the hinterland. Its great.

Really an exceptional experience. We stayed in a deluxe lakeside cottage which is really a full house. Beautifully appointed and the welcome and service were excellent. Every cottage has its own canoe and we really enjoyed going for early morning paddles around Lake Weyba. This is a place where nature is at your doorstep and wild kangaroos can be seen grazing in the morning and afternoon and yet one is only 10 minutes away from the shops and restaurants of Noosa. We'll look forward to staying here again.

Room Tip: try and get a cottage right on the lake - not all of them are..some are situated back a bit but stil...

On arriving at our cottage we were very disappointed as for $590 for two nights it really was substandard. So we went back up to office to let them know we were very disappointed in the accommodation. Jan (very nice lady) offered us a discounted price for the luxury pavillion house which we went and looked at and were very happy had AC but lovely spa overlooking the water.
Place was devine! But.. at 7.30 4 hours into our stay, when I went to run the spa the water was brown and spurting , television also would not give good reception but thats not a biggy. So we rung the owner Christine who proceeded to tell me she was in Noosa having dinner but would be back in one hour. We waited for three hours and then went to bed in the morning still no water and owner would not answer her phone. We left messages over and over again. So having paid extra for a spa we could not use and could not shower or drink the water.. Anyway she finally rang and said the tank had run out of water and we could leave if we desired and she would maybe give us a partial refund. She just had to have a cuppa first...Glad she could we couldn't!! So we packed up and headed to the office to wait her arrival. We wanted a full refund which she seemed to thing we only deserved half!! After much debate and rude remarks from the old lady owner Christine she gave us a full refund. Would I go back sure but not if she was owner there. We have done extensive travel around the world and third world countries this would have to be the most rudest person I have ever met in our travels. Not a sorry passed her lips! Good luck keeping this business going with your attitude
