To be found just off a major road intersection (roundabout) a few minutes north of the Tyne Tunnel. Loads of car park space which is shared with the adjacent Brewers Fayre restaurant.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean throughout. Not particularly noisy, despite major road proximity and us leaving the window open overnight. We had a room on the upper floor overlooking the car park. Hardly heard the neighbours, with a decent night's sleep resulting. No air-conditioning present, which might be a snag in high summer. Bathroom spotlessly clean; bath with shower over. We thought bed mattress a bit below the Premier Inn standard but nonetheless OK.
Food can be obtained next door at the Brewers Fayre restaurant. Standard pub type fare of a good standard and we never had to book a table, despite our stay being over a weekend.
The hotel is served by a very good network of roads which will connect you with much of the North Tyneside and nearby coastal attractions. In fact, I have said it before, but I think Northumberland generally is a little known tourist gem.
All in all , a very good experience and recommended.
