Friendly staff as you expect with Premier Inn. Big comfy bed, additional single bed but still plenty of floor space. The adjoining pub was far enough away not to be noisy but to provide easy access to food and drink. We stayed with our 5 year old and found the room to be quiet with plenty of space for a good nights sleep for all. Bathroom with bath and showe also helped.

We needed an overnight stay in the Whitley Bay area and as this Premier Inn is just off the A19 past the Tyne Tunnel it was really handy. Arriving early evening we found it easily, there was a large car park and the staff on reception were very welcoming. Due to time restraints we dropped off our bags and went straight over to the Brewers Fayre onsite and had a meal that was really good value for money. When we returned later that night we found the hotel was harder to locate in the dark. We called into the pub again for a nightcap and there was a quiz night just winding up but it seemed to be well supported by locals. Our room was extremely well equipped, clean and quiet so we had a really good nights sleep. Although breakfast was available we left early without eating. We would have no hesitation in recommending anyone looking for great value for money, it can't be faulted.

The best Premier Inn we've stayed in, due to the extremely friendly, helpful staff on reception. The room & bathroom were fine (the usual Premier Inn - perhaps a little bigger than most) and it's nice and quiet despite all the surrounding roads. It's very well positioned for Whitley Bay and the north of Newcastle, and the southern parts of Northumberland. The attached Brewers Fayre restaurant is ok and does a lovely breakfast. If we need a hotel in the area again we'll be back in a shot.

Typical Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable and roomy with friendly and helpful staff.
Usual sort of acceptable breakfast at adjoining pub.
Lots of parking space (needed because it is in the middle of nowhere - well actually in the middle of lots of identical development and interchangeable roundabouts - without sat nav we would not have found it... others also had problems).
Generally nothing to complain about and I would happily stay here again ...... If i can find it!

To be found just off a major road intersection (roundabout) a few minutes north of the Tyne Tunnel. Loads of car park space which is shared with the adjacent Brewers Fayre restaurant.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean throughout. Not particularly noisy, despite major road proximity and us leaving the window open overnight. We had a room on the upper floor overlooking the car park. Hardly heard the neighbours, with a decent night's sleep resulting. No air-conditioning present, which might be a snag in high summer. Bathroom spotlessly clean; bath with shower over. We thought bed mattress a bit below the Premier Inn standard but nonetheless OK.

Food can be obtained next door at the Brewers Fayre restaurant. Standard pub type fare of a good standard and we never had to book a table, despite our stay being over a weekend.

The hotel is served by a very good network of roads which will connect you with much of the North Tyneside and nearby coastal attractions. In fact, I have said it before, but I think Northumberland generally is a little known tourist gem.

All in all , a very good experience and recommended.

Not usually a fan of Travel Lodge/Premier Inn type hotels ; but I was impressed with many aspects of this Premier Inn.
The guy on reception Andrew(?) was very welcoming and made us feel at home within 10 seconds of walking through the door. The room was large, scrupulously clean and comfortable.
The adjacent ' Brewers fayre ' pub served very nice meals and a great breakfast.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my grandson,it is a typical premier inn, clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful reception staff. Not too long a walk to the nearest metro station and only a short journey into newcastle or to the coast.when not using the metro the taxi firm blue line provided excellent service and very reasonable rates.
We had breakfast in the adjacent pub/restaurant and an evening meal, again the staff were friendly and helpful.
Will stay again if visiting the area
