The hotel is located in Tramin, in the middle of the local vineyards, a bit outside of the village (walking distance). We stayed there for a few days with some friends from Hong Kong and Australia for whom the location and area were a fantastic experience.
Rooms are very tidy and if you can, get one with a balcony in the front so you can enjoy the view over the valley. Bathroom small, but functional. Biggest issue with the rooms was the thin walls - you can hear everything from the room next door - every sneeze...
Food was good, we had half board so had dinner there every night and were quite pleased. The owner is the chef and very friendly and helpful.
Would stay there again, ideal as a base to do day trips around the region.
The hotel hands out "wine passes" which give you free access to local public transportation (bus, cable cars, trams etc).More
