Booked a table for four on 22nd May. Ample room in medium car park. Our table in a quiet corner suited well, and whole place was clean and tidy. Barman was friendly and we enjoyed some banter. Food was good, and menu was quite varied and well priced. Stayed until 3pm when they close, & spent a last few minutes in the carpark enjoying the countryside view.

Just what a village pub should be - relaxed & friendly with excellent selection of real ales which are regularly changed & updated. Good value wine list too with some very drinkable options (most pub house wine leaves me feeling very dodgy after one glass but not this). Food is good pub fayre with a few interesting dishes thrown in & a specials board but the standard menu changes regularly too which is nice & always good quality/ value. Staff are great always friendly & helpfull.

The worst Sunday roast I have ever had ( rather not had because gave up on it ) Potatoes shown the fat not even brown, Beef very fatty all gristle, other veg cold and devoid of colour.
Ugh.

We visited here on the bank holiday Sunday with relatives for the second time following a nice lunch the week before. A lovely country pub nestled into the countryside with nice views and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The Sunday lunch is great and comes with all the trimmings. The menu is good value and they have lots of specials on offer too. Dogs are permitted in the bear garden and bar area but not the lounge, understandably. There is a nice decking area outside with great views and a kids playing area too. The staff were very friendly and I would highly recommend it. The food was delicious, everyone in our party agreed.

The pub has lots of interesting history. The staff are friendly and obliging. There is a good choice of food on offer which we all enjoyed. It has a nice out door seating area and play area for children.
Worth a visit, this is one of the better pubs in Wembury and Heybrook Bay.
