“Family visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

The service and food was very good with a good range of choice. The young gentleman behind the bar was very helpful. There was six of us and we all had something different. We all agreed that when were in the area again we would certainly make another visit.

“The Steak , Port and Stilton Pie. WOW. Delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

Went here as a last minute meet up with some friends and I have got to say the pie was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The service was very friendly and plenty fast enough. Two of us had the pie and one had ham egg and chips and one had the turbot. All were good but the pie was supreme. I was assured the pie is home made and it tested like it was. Drinks were a sensible price and huge choice of ales, wine list was ok. My only problem, my portion of pie was HUGE.

This is a lovely traditional olde worlds pub excellent range of beers which my husband enjoyed very much. The food was a delight to eat all fresh food no microwave meals served. There is a special board and lots of fresh fish which I enjoyed my husband had the homemade steak and kidney pie of which I tasted and It was absolutely wonderful. We didn't have sweets as after the main course we were both full
