“Hidden treasure”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We almost didn't go in because of the exterior but were very glad we did. Lovely restaurant, good service and delicious food - interesting starter of crepe, green beans, goats cheese mousse and soft boiled quails eggs, followed by excellent fillet of beef with roast potatoes and then light and tasty iced chocolate mousse. The little appetiser of caponata was a lovely touch too. Three courses and a bottle of wine for €60 - great value.

Sweet spot in a hidden corner of Tuscany. Great meal, imaginative menu in a tiny city that is the truffle capital of Tuscany. We passed on the truffles and didn't miss them at all

“Twice in seven days”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

This place should not be missed if you are anywhere in the area. As others have said-don't make the mistake of not going in because of the exterior which we almost did.
The inside is charming and the food is exceptional. Have the wild boar crostini which is the world's best sloppy joe!
The Pici is wonderful no matter how prepared. In fact all was good enough to return a second time and it was equally as good.
Service was efficient and friendly.
Go there.

“Dont Judge This restaurant by it's Front Door”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

From the outside this restaurant looks like a local and not very impressive Bar, but, once inside it's a whole different story. 3 very attractive rooms decorated in a light country style and a warm welcome await. Real Tuscan cooking, professional, friendly service and very reasonable prices.
Really creative cooking using only what is fresh at the moment. In truffle season this may quite possibly be the one place you cant miss. Crowded at lunch (reserve if you can) and with a local crowd most nights. Chef will be happy to take special requests and discuss what you would like. Exceptional sweets.

“A Fine Neighborhood Restaurant”

Excellent Tuscan food with meats provided by the butcher next door, and vegetables by local farms. An excellent place to sample the truffles that have made this area famous. Like all restaurants in Tuscany, outstanding wines.
