A glamorous and romantic venue, with the feel of an exclusive club, where you will enjoy great food along with attentive service. Dining during the summer months is outdoors and there is also a bar where you can enjoy a cocktail before dining. We arrived without a reservation but were offered a fantastic table up on the terrace, next to the parrilla and from where we could people-watch through the olive trees, to our hearts’ content – or at least until the food arrived and our stomachs took over. The dining arrangement is conducive to intimacy while being able to accommodate large parties of diners. You dine among the trees and under lanterns, distracted by the smell of wafting meat from the parrilla and with soft music playing in the background.
So on to the food. Wow. A 300g sirloin and equally weighty rib eye, cooked to perfection and presented with chunky fries, perfectly seasoned, and a beetroot and grape salad providing the perfect complement. On to pudding - an apple pancake oozing with butter, and a generous scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Not good for your cholesterol, perhaps, but your taste buds will be happy.
So would we come back? Yes, absolutely. We felt welcome and special and even though there’s another restaurant only a stone’s throw away with the same owner, we enjoyed the intimacy and friendliness of this one. A must if you’re in the area.
