Yet another great evening at Camillo's. We keep coming back, several times a year on our trips to Portugal.
This is authentic Italian cuisine, if only because the charming owner is genuinely Italian.
Vastly more interesting and tasty food than the bog-standard chicken shacks people always visit when looking for something affordable. You'll only spend a little bit more that you would on at the frango places but that's comparing apples with pears, really.
The blackboard selection is where the really tasty stuff is always worth opting for, although his fresh pasta is a novelty in the Algarve and really great.
Price-value ratio wise, the place is very locally and for Portugal generally.
There's always a warm welcome from Camillo and he is just awesome with the kids. Good guy with an interesting family, too.
As ever, we'll be back on our next trip to Portugal in the autumn.
