A most stunning, tranquil place, that we visit every time we stay in Cyprus. It is like stepping into another world.

“One of Ayia Napa’s more saintly spots”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

The monastery is situated in the middle of Ayia Napa right next to the night clubs so you can see the modern and the ancient in a glance. It is free to enter and well worth a look. A peaceful spot to stop a while and forget about the outside world and remember when Ayia Napa was just a sleepy fishing village and night clubs where people talked about what they were going to do tomorrow.

“Small but peaceful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

This monastery is quite small but it is so peaceful. You can go in and light a candle and pray, reflect and bask in the old world feel. At night there are tons of cats that live there and you can sit and watch the old ladies bring them food. Also, there are many orange trees that have wonderfully sweet fruit.
