“A disabled accessible beach in Agia Thekla”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

This very neglected and run down beach has been transformed in the last year. It now has full changing and toilet facilities for the disabled and a wooden runway to the high tide mark making it accessible for wheelchairs and buggies. There is even a parking turning point near the high tide mark. This has turned it into the most disabled friendly beach in the area. It has also had the addition of a very disabled friendly restaurant adjacent to the beach entrance. Together they have really transformed the area

“Recently added wooden beach track to sea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

We were delighted to see how much improved this sandy beach is now. There is a ramp to the wooden track wide enough to easily accommodate a good sized mobility scooter to adjacent sun loungers. The nissaki restaurant is easily accessible and there are newly built toilets (including disabled) pay for outside showers and a lifeguard station.( Ask the lounger hire man for the disabled loo key)

For families there is a shallow sheltered area of sea which enables people to walk or swim to a little sandy island (seems to be about 1 metre deep between the beach and the island)

“Quiet beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

This beach is just a short drive from Nissi Beach but we'll worth a visit. The sun beds are brand new and so are the umbrellas. Costs 7.50 euro a day for two beds and shade. The small cove is overlooked by a church on the hill and the water is so shallow that you can wade out the the crest of rocks for even more private bathing. There is a brand new eating place right on the beach serving amazing snacks at ridiculously low prices.
