just had a brilliant two weeks holiday staying at the alion beach hotel,in ayia napa, first time we"d stayed at this beautiful hotel, and it lived up to our expectations, from the manager to the staff, everyone was so hopefull, freindly, polite, and nothing was ever any trouble, their main concern was,the guests enjoyment.we booked a seaview room, and when we arrived we was greeted by very efficient, friendl, front desk staff that started the holiday of with no fuss, the room was spotless and cleaned daily by very efficient friendly staff.and the view from the balcony, was beautiful.the food was great with plenty of variety,we chose the the seven day flexi-dining, which we spread over the two weeks we was there.the variety of food that greeted you when you walked through the dining room doors was amazing, food for every palete, cooked just right.everywhere you went in the hotel, you was never far away from friendly helpfull staff that made our holiday great.a big thankyou to all at the alion

Room Tip: the seaview rooms have terrific views

Myself and my partner recently visited the Alion for our wedding - so I thought I would write a very short and sweet note about our stay there. From the moment we arrived the staff members really couldn't do enough to help us and answer all of our enquiries. Our room was exactly what you would expect of a 5* hotel outside of the UK; clean, spacious etc I would have loved to have had a sea view but unfortunately all of these rooms were unavailable (our fault for not booking one). Despite the hotel clearly being fully booked, you wouldn't have thought it during the day, all of the inside areas of the hotel were pleasantly quiet and peaceful, as were the areas around the pool and pool bar. It is genuinely a lovely quiet location to have a peaceful holiday. Some music is played around the pool area sometimes but its very relaxing and certainly not in tune with the Aiya Napa beats in the Sqaure! We stayed half board, which was great as there are lots of places to eat just a 5 minute walk away from the hotel, venture a little further and you're right in the centre of town with lots to eat and drink! Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel was brilliant, I genuinely can't fault the food or the service. Our wedding day was brilliantly organised by Michael and his team, along with our Thomas Cook wedding planner, every effort was made to make sure both David and I had a great time and that every detail was to our liking. The actual day ran very smoothly, the hotel even provided us with an alternate room for the morning of our wedding for David to get ready in! Our wedding breakfast was brilliant, we sat outside (level one) with a lovely view of the sea, all of our guests enjoyed their stay. We had 18 people come out o Cyprus with us, staying in many different hotels, they all popped into the Alion at one point or another to see myself and David and were made very welcome when waiting for us in reception, no-one felt out of place or unwanted. I could rattle on forever I guess, to summarize; its a brilliant hotel, great service, close to the town, peaceful location right on the beach, if you want to get married there they know how to do a good job!

Room Tip: Definately try to upgrade to a see view room, I think we missed a trick here!

We got married in the marquee among the beautiful and tropical gardens at The Alion Beach hotel over looking the beach and clear blue sea! It was incredibly quiet and as my dad and i walked through the gardens to the marquee it felt like we had the place to ourselves even though the hotel was in its busiest month! The manager Panicos and his team of staff couldn't do enough for us and our party. We were made to feel very special. Unlike alot of hotels in Cyprus that operate a one in one out wedding as many as 5 a day , our wedding at the Alion was the only one that fortnight ! We then had a 5 course gourmet meal that we had chosen months in advance from about 8 different menus sent to us at home on a private balcony with the most breath taking view over the bay. The food was amazingly presented and excellent quality and only 55 euros per head which was incredible!

WE RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE !

Rooms all modern and clean. Its location is nearly the last hotel out of Ayia Napa so dont let the town's reputation put you off !!! No problems with any noise day or night even in high season.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE PERFECT DAY PANICOS AND YOUR FABULOUS HOTEL X

Room Tip: the hotel is right on the beach so you need a sea view - its breathtaking and well worth paying that...

When we arrived at the Alion Beach Hotel, we thought it might be closed. The front looked like the place was just empty~ But once we walked thru the doors, there was a lovely lobby where they greeted us as we sat in a little living room type setting vs standing at a desk to register and enjoyed a view of the ocean from the picture glass windows. They explained that we should select our beach chairs /umbrella from a chart for the duration of our stay, about meals, etc. Our room was nice, but it was the pool and access to such a beautiful beach which made it extra special. The staff was most friendly and helpful. There was some type of entertainment each night. The walk into town was pleasant and easy. There was an underground parking garage and we didn't touch our car the entire stay. We relaxed, swam, sunned, and hiked to Cape Grego. (hiking there and taking the air conditioned bus back was the best 1 euro we ever spent!) We were most happy with everything and would highly recommend the Alion Beach Hotel.

Room Tip: our room faced the tennnis courts / not beach. We signed up for the lesser price room but it was mo...

We never been to Cyprus so we didnt what to expect.
When we first arrive, we were welcoming with a refreshing drink of lime in a sofa (and cause we were just arriving from our flight, felt very nice). Did check in, and arrive to our awesome corner room in floor 4th. It was very big, and the view to the ocean was beautiful.
The staff was very professional, and help us when we need it.
The breakfast its outrageous. Delicious, and very big. They have cheeses, salmon, eggs, fruits, teas, juices, meats like sausage, ham etc, dates, cereals, etc.
The pool area its very nice, with a bar and a restaurant.
Also, every night of the week, have a tematic night, in the buffet or activities like belly dance or greek dances :).

Room Tip: The best value its the corner room!

Having chosen this hotel through the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, I have to say it more than lived up to these reviews. We were looking for a 2 week chillout after a hectic year of work and the Alion was perfect. We went for a sea view room based on review recommendations and this was a good choice with more than enough room for a couple, good quality finishes and excellent views of the surrounding area. We were on half board and the buffet meals were very good with a different theme each night over the 2 weeks. We had expected to choose the a la carte option but never saw the need due to the buffet quality. We liked the fact that you kept the same table each night and unfinished bottles of wine are kept aside for the following evening. Saturday was Table Haut service with the option to upgrade to the Flambé menu for 12 Euro per person on half board- well worth it though. The sunbed allocation system is a great idea and means a much more relaxing morning rather than the usual early rise to get a sunbed. The pool area and gardens in general are lovely and well thought through. The pool bar and restaurant are well run with a great menu and drink choice and good value for money. Drinks are delivered to sunbeds if required and the mid morning delivery of a free piece of watermelon or equivalent was well received and a nice touch. Special mention to Adrianna at the pool bar as she was so helpful and attentive. The main bar and other public areas of the hotel were well laid out and in line with the 5 star rating. Not much to improve, however I would question the dress code for dinner. Men are requested to wear trousers, which I don't have a problem with, but I do question what it achieves as it does not avoid wearing of jeans or less appropriate clothing for female guests. I would suggest looking at a smart dress code for dinner for all guests rather than focussing on trousers for the male guests. Making all eating areas and the sunbed area non smoking would also be a good move speaking as a non smoker. All in all a great hotel and we will definitely return in the future, which is not something we tend to do. Little things make a difference and the Alion makes the effort to consuder all these things that make good holiday great. Many thanks to the hotel for a great holiday and for letting us re-charge our batteries.
