Any bride looking for a perfect venue...read this!

First of all, from our very first enquiry to Marios, the hotel's wedding planner, we have had first class service. We recieved brochures through the post with prices, menus etc, then everything was arranged through email, so there is no need to pay extra for your own wedding planner, Marios was fabulous!

When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a sea view room which was beautiful, flowers and champagme were waiting for us. We had a note with our key inviting us to a meeting with Marios. At this meeting we chose our food, flowers, cake etc. This meant that we could spend our holiday relaxing in the sun and not worrying about a single thing, resulting in a very calm wedding day!

Although the Hotel can arrange a photographer for you, we chose to hire one ourselves. We used Dc-photographic, Duncan Cox. He was excellent and we would reccomend him to anyone, He comes up in a google seach for Cyprus Wedding Photographers.
Thanks Duncan x

As any bride would be, I was a bit worried about using a different hairdresser. I took some photos from a trial at home and the hotel hairdresser Anna, who is English, recreated it perfectly. I also had a full body massage and a manicure done in the health club on the morning of the wedding, which was brilliant.

Our wedding on the 14th of August was directed by Chris, who really helped the day to run smoothly and kept everytone on the right track. Thanks Chris x

I must say, walking through the hotel's beautiful gardens down to the wedding gazebo was just amazing. We stopped for photos on the way, the flowers in the grounds make such a beautiful backdrop. Then arriving at the gazebo, my fiance waiting there and looking out over the ocean brought a tear to my eye, and everyone elses!

We then moved on to the Bacchus Bar Terrace for drinks and the cake cutting. The cake was gorgeous, exactly what we wanted and it tasted amazing.

Chris then escorted us to our reception venue, The Thallassa Terrace, for our wedding meal. What a fabuous place, totally private, looking through palm trees and flowers onto the ocean, beautiful. We decided on one large table for our meal, which looked better than we could have imagined, just look at the photos! The food was lovely and the presentation was so good everyone was taking photos of each course as it came out. So, a big thanks to the chef, and to Andreas, our lovely waiter for the night!

Then afterwards, we all relaxed in the bar with cocktails, what more could we ask for?

Well, how about a champagne breakfast in our room the following morning, and a romantic, candle-lit dinner, with more champagne, on any night of our choosing! This just topped off our wedding holiday nicely.

A brilliant day was had by all. We had the wedding of our dreams that we will never forget. We will definitely be returning one day!

We stayed at the Nissi for 11 nights, including having our wedding there. It was incredible! We stayed in a beach suite which had the most wonderful view. The room was clean, basic, and had plenty of room for the bridal party to get ready. The gardens were stunning, sea beautiful, staff very helpful and food absolutely delicious. Buffet breakfast was fantastic! Im so glad we chose the Nissi for our wedding. Marios the wedding co-ordinator, and the the other wedding staff were so helpful and accommodating. We had the Rondavel for the reception,it looked absolutley stunning, and the guests said it was the best food they had eaten! My husband, our guests and I had the most fabulous holiday, and wedding there, and Im amazed and shocked that some people have written negative reports!! Everything was just perfect. We cant wait to go back for our anniversary! xx

What can i say, it was an amazing time for us as we got married there. From the 1st time we walked in we was treated ike royalty! the room was great, lovely and clean. Every morning the cleaner was in and we had clean towels ev Aeryday to. Our wedding was definately my dream wedding its just a beautiful place to get married, We stayed in a beach bungalow number 2 it was great to open our curtains to such a beautiful view the sea i thought was a little dirty with green floaty bits but it did clear up. The staff i found really friendly eg marios, his wife caroline and chris the rest of the staff was lovely to! the hotel was very clean infact i would say its a 5 star not a 4! and you must be a really big snob if you think its anything less!! All in all it was a beautiful place and cant wait to go back there. Thanks to all the people who gave us such a perfect day and experience that i will never forget :-)

We stayed at Nissi Beach because my daughter was getting married there and as she had a little boy we were there to look after him at times. It was quite expensive to stay there and it was only bed and breakfast. The hotel itself was quite nice specially the gardens they were beautiful. Beds were a little hard and pillows were a bit like bullets, it was the most expensive holiday i have ever been on cost us a small fortune. But your daughter only gets married once.....
Would not stay there again though plenty more nicer hotels on the island. Nice location for a wedding though, even if they do tell lies and rob you off your money!!!

My holiday/wedding for 2 weeks was everything I'd imagined. I cant understand the 2 negative reviews before this but hey, you cant please everyone - We had a party of 28 and 11 of us stayed at this hotel, no complaints whatsoever. In my opinion the service was spot on - everything I asked for, I got, no trouble whatsoever - my wedding was managed beautifully. I did my homework believe me and I made the right choice. There are 3 weddings a day but unless you are on the beach, where the ceremony overlooks, you dont notice the weddings unless you saw ours because our (fantastic) photographer had us running up and down the beach like prats ... but there you go, Im sure the photos will be worth it - but apart from that I saw the odd bride and that was it - if you are planning on getting married here please, please do not over-do it with your dress... it is hot and sweaty and uncomfortable and to be honest, the brides I saw in great big fat dresses, looked absolutely ridiculous! really, dress accordingly and you wont regret it - big fat dresses are for British weather weddings in my opinion!! keep it simple, floaty or even short dresses, like mine, look a lot better and mine was even too hot!! the sweat just pours off you and it isnt appropriate to over dress!! my photographer was the best, private www.dgphotos.com.au.. he is amazing and very different from all the other recommended photographers the agents give you. My email is michellescott226@btinternet.com if anyone wants to see photos or more info.

Check-in procedure to the hotel was swift and stress-free, the welcome drink on arrival was good whilst you completed the registration card.

We stayed in a Junior beach suite from 29th July for 2 weeks (number 8) on a half-board basis. Our room was exactly as described on the hotel's own website, and with a lovely outlook of the sea and gardens ! - the bottle of wine and fruit & chocolates in the room we're a nice touch also !. The rooms we're well maintained and we're looked after by the maids - there we're always a plentiful supply of towels for the bathroom, as well as different coloured towels for the pool / beach.

The hotel itself is some distance from the junior beach suites; but the walk is pleasant through a series of sweeping paths through spectacularly maintained gardens, (we we're lucky enough to see the pelicans twice during our stay !).

The Ambrosia restaurant was used for both breakfast & dinner. The breakfast itself is pretty similar on a daily basis; but has the usual array of cold meats / cheeses, hot foods such as bacon, eggs, tomatoes etc as well as yogurts, fruits and pastries. The evening meal is based on a different theme every evening; this is slightly changed over the two weeks, such themed evenings comprise foods based on Greek, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Carvery, Fish etc - the quality of the food, its presentation and variety, mean that you could be tempted to over-indulge - thank goodness for the gym / spa !.

There are a some five or some beach / pool tavernas which can be used for drinks & snacks during the day, (the range of snacks available varies from location to location). However, the Nissi taverna which was relatively near to our room, is very much like a full restaurant and can be used by half board guests in-lieu of the evning meal at the Ambrosia.

The outside pools were sufficient for the hotel size; but access to them at times could get congested, when mass rearangement of sun bed positions occured !. There is also an indoor pool in the spa and a gym in the main hotel on the first floor.

The beach is lovely; soft white sand with sufficient sunbeds and parasols (albeit for our party this would cost 15 Euro !). The sea is perfect for the children as its shallow for some distance out, and is perfectly clear !.

The children attended the hotel run mini club on a few occasions, and enjoyed participating in the activities being arranged.

In addition the evning entertainment programme was better than some of the previous attempts we've experienced from other Greek island hotels.

All in all a good holiday; be wary however that the cost of drinks and snacks is fairly high, this is partly due to the rating of the hotel and the Euro.
