me and my friend went to ayia napa in may this year we wanted something cheap and cheerful and thats exactly what we got ! on arrival the staff were really friendly and offered us a choice of rooms. obv we picked the pool view ! i was a liitle surprised as to how basic it was but by day2 i had got used to it. what can you expect when you pay next to nothing. They were clean, new bedding and towels every 2 days and the staff were absolutely lovely especially the poolside owner, the pool area was small but pretty and cleaned every day ! He even watered the plants with bottled water hehe
we ate out in ayia napa an odd night but found our appartments food tasted 10 times better . great holiday n sad to leave. if i was looking for a cheap deal again id defo go back .... just remember these things are what you make of it

Having spent the last 3 years holidaying in Ayia napa this was to be our worst. A Twenty minute hike to the beach everyday was not helped by early morning teenagers living it up, our Tour operator (OLYMPIC) need to rethink who they send to this accommodation and therefore should except some of the blame.
General cleanliness was very poor, towels only changed twice in 14 days of stay.
Definately would not recommend staying at the Aphelandra.

We are just back from Ayia Napa and the aphelandra apts. The first night we checked in, the door to our room was wide open and when we went in, it hadnt been cleaned and there was no linen on the beds.We went down to reception and the guy came with us to check but couldnt shed any light on it,so he tried to give us another room which we refused due to the horrible musty smell. He said that he didnt have any other rooms to give us so I ended up just taking the sheets off the beds in that room and using them on our beds we were so tired after enduring 4 and a half hours of drunken yobs on the plane. The next morning I informed the same guy as the previous night, that our room badly needed cleaning as there was hair in the bath, but lo and behold they were still there the following evening. We made a conscious decision there and then to just let it go as we didnt want to spend the week arguing with the staff who, as it turned out were really really nice and friendly and one of the main reasons this sorry excuse for accomodation is still open.Ayia Napa itself is beautiful and for the teenagers its ideal. We would definitely go back to Cyprus as the people are so nice but probably a different part of the island and certainly nowhere near the aphelandra....

Me and my mate stayed in this hotel last year. I thought it was about time we wrote a review on it because we had one of the best weeks ever. The hotel is great for groups of friends or just a couple of mates. I would not recommend for families. The room we had was clean and not bad for the price we paid. The nightlife, bars and clubs are within walking distance, yes it is on a hill but its not that bad, you get use to it! There is also a beach nearby, about 15mins walk but Nissi Beach is a taxi drive away, about 10euros. The staff were all friendly and the breakfasts were good! The towels did get a bit dirty as they only changed them every 2-3 days and so did the sheets. So take your own towel! The pool is quite big and there are lots of sunbeds around it. We had a balcony which looked out onto other hotels, but was quite good if you want to make neighbours!! Overall we had an amazing holiday and were chuffed with the hotel!

the aphelandra apartments are at the top of a very large hill, and it'a killer walking there in the heat.I agree about the towels etc ,we waited 5 days for clen towels and bedding which is disgusting. The pool area is very small despite the number of rooms, there is no way there is enough room for everyone. We went to the harbour beach most days.Sorry to the last reviewer but did you jog as it took us 30 mins to walk there.Advise people to set off ealy morning as it gets so hot for walking.Found the staff unhelpful in the main.Olympic just dumped us on the doorstep on arrival. There was no one to help less able people with suitcasses and there are a lot of steps to negotiate for some apartments...Would not recommend for elderly or disabled. The first apartment they sent us to was so tiny,we wanted to change to other apartments but rep said it would be £30 pound a day so we just got moved rooms.Be sure to take plenty of money as things are very expensive in Ayia napa mainly due to the bad value of the pound.Meals, the cheapest we found wrer £10 pound each, and drinks round £3 to £4.Nissi beach is the worst, beer is £4 there but it is a lovely beach. It takes 1 hr to walk there.DEfinitely recommend the yellow submarine trip, enjoyed that a lot, also the red bus trip, that was great despite the fact of some unseasonal rain. The tour guide was a laugh a minute. You get to see the Ghost town and rural villages.Definitely worth the money.
We will return to Ayia Napa but NEVER the Aphelandra!!!

Back two weeks from Ayia Napa!!
These apartments are terrible! They are reated as B class by budget but were far below any standard! When we arrived we had to move rooms as the toilet didn't flush and the apartment stank! The one we moved to was better but we paid for air con for the two weeks and this was broken!! it was really expensive too-6 euro per day!! it leaked so mouch we had to move into the kitchen(you have to pay 10 euro for both the kitchen and bedroom one to work!!). they got a man in to fix it but it was no better and attracted all little black bugs which came into the bedroom(was gross).
Do not get into the pool- we were sick the second week so sick we couldnt enjoy our hol and i am convinced it was the pool!! we never saw anyone come to clean it in the whole two weeks we were there!!
They only change your sheets and give you clean towels once on a wed or thurs i think!!!!!! so bring extra towels!
Also people staying there keep to themselves as there are so many rooms!!
It' s grand if you stay out most of the day and night which we tried to do- the harbour is only around a 15min walk from here and it has a bit of a beach which is lovely and quieter than nissi beach if you have a bit of a hangover!!
They say that you can walk to the square but don't walk home at night- it's ok as far as Jasmine inn and then it gets darker!! - a taxi is dear though- 10 euro!!
Stay in the carina!!!!! Its nice and friendly and a bit away from the madness!! Stayed there last year and even though its 'c' class it's brill!! had the best hol of my life!
Don't ask the budget rep anything if you are Irish and staying here as she is not nice and very unhelpful!! also never there!! If you need any help the olympic people will help you(English reps)!! I didnt write this to moan just warn people !!! These apartments ruined my hol :(

I had the best holiday in Napa, the staff were so friendly and lovely, the rooms were great and clean. If you want to be near the main clubbing area it was just a 5min walk from Aphelandra. Nissi beach is 20min drive from the hotel apartments and for only 8euros - cheap! But if Nissi is too loud you are a 15 min walk from the habour beach which is lovely and peaceful. We didn't really spend alot of the time around the pool as the sunbeds seem to be taken very early, and towels seemed to be just left over night! Overall the Aphelandra apts seemed to be the best in town lol!
