The ultimate in relaxation Thalassines provides the right getaway from the crowded tourist resorts while it is located very close. Both the Villas as well as the location are top class but come second to the hospitality of Andreas and the family who put their heart and spare no effort in making every guest feel like at home. Cypriot hospitality at its best !!!! definitely going back !

We have been to Thalassines Villas three times, and have enjoyed ourselves immensely every time. The Villas are by the sea, and the views are breathtaking (we have always stayed in villa 10 right next to the owner Andreas). Villas are not all alike, but they are all beautiful. In our opinion the best part of these villas is that they all have a private pool, which is of very good size and clean. The villa itself has very spacious three rooms with good air-conditioning in every room. Everything works great and Andreas helps with everythig you ask. If you plan to go to Cyprus, and do not want to stay where all other tourists are, this is a perfect place. You need rent a car though, and remember to drive on the left side! Take a car with automatic transmission, makes it easier in the beginning.

Room Tip: Villa number 10 is great, directly facing the sea.

We stayed in villa 8, which was quite spacious with three bedrooms. The villa was very well equipped with air conditioning, wireless Internet, dishwasher and washing machine. Everything worked just fine.

We use Internet quite a lot so wireless Internet was great to have. It operated just fine all week with just a few minor hiccups. Speed was more than adequate, about 10 Mbps according to speed test.

Our private pool was larger than we expected, about 10 x 5 meters. The depth was 1,40 m, which was perfect for our family. The surroundings of our villa and actually the whole hotel area were very quiet and peaceful. Thalassines has a private beach and at least during our stay there were just a few people usually on the beach so no need to fight over sunbeds. It was not a great beach to swim because of rocks, though. It didn´t bother us but might be an issue for families with small children.

As other reviewers have told Andreas was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us good suggestions where to eat and was willing to help if we had any questions. He even gave our daughter a birthday cake when he found out that she had birthday.

There are almost no restaurants or other services within walking distance (except a small minimarket) so you really need a car. The nearest restaurants are probably fish restaurants Potamos and Demetrion a few kilometers west by a river. We thought Demetrion, which is a few hundred meters farther, was better, but both are good. There are also a few really nice restaurants in nearby town of Sotira. In Sotira we ate in Ploumin and Mousikos, which were both excellent. Another alternative is to drive a few kilometers east towards Ayia Napa to the actual tourist district where there are plenty of typical tourist restaurants with typical tourist menus with spaghetti bolognaise, pizzas etc.

It was my first ever villa holiday and I am very impressed. Located about 5mins drive before you reach ayia napa, it is set in a quiet area of ayia thekla, the complex has about 8 villas, we were not right on the beach but a stones throw from it. The private beach is very relaxing with lovely sofa/beds to chill out on. The beach is perfect to relax and unwind, if a little scruffy on foot. The villa itself was equiped with everything you need, the houseboys are very friendly and provide a high level of housekeeping twice a week. They are very helpful. There is also a small minimarket on site and a regular fish and fruit/veg van most mornings. I would say you need a hire car.
My only small problems were the beds (i was in a twin room) were uncomfortable and had a horrid matress protector on, and some of the electrical equipment were cheap, and dont look like they will last the season. Also thomson reps not the most helpful on arrival.
Apart from that i would definately recommend thalassines.

Just back from Cyprus, with nothing but great memories.

Thalassines Beach Villas are very nicely situated, with private access to the sea. Probably the one and only really nice spot in the greater Ayja Napa area - just perfect for a relaxed time. The Villas are private property and managed by Andreas, the owner and his family. We received a very warm welcome by Andreas, who was hands-on with hints and recommendations.

The villas are very well maintained and have a charming architecture and layout of the rooms.

Thanks again, Andreas - hopefully we'll be back some time in the future!

Beautiful villas, beautiful garden, wonderful view, best service. Nice and calm. Can hardly think of something negative, it might be the distance to supermarkets and restaurants. And the beds are little too hard I think. But to have this surroundings almost to your self with a private pool (which is really clean) is a lovely experience. The owner lives next door and you are always welcome for a chat, glas of lemonade or suggestions for a better holiday such as recomendations for good restaurants and so on.

We were a family of 17, aged from 10 to 75, who were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Nice, practical, well equipped and clean bungalows close to the beach, and without disturbing noise from traffic or construction work.
Andreas gave us top service by shopping for us as we arrived to late to do our own, and helping out with hiring bikes and giving good advice for where to go and what to do.
A better beach would of course made it perfect, but there were nice places close by, and we enjoyed the pools too.
