We stayed here from 11/5/14 to 25/5/14 in room 208 and every day felt special ! On arrival the receptionists were very polite and helpful which made our check in fuss free and fast. We got our AI bands and 2 key cards for our room straight away.
The room which was on the second floor was absolutely spotless and when we looked out we had a fantastic panoramic view of the main and infinity pool as well as the sea . This is the best view we've ever had on holiday .
This floor is handy for the indoor pool/gym/sauna too and is nicely located for the pools and restaurants on level 1 and reception is 2 floors up on level 4
The hotel Is elevated on a slight hill but will say makes the location perfect .The front of the hotel where you arrive is very clean and has easy walking access into town which took us about 15 mins by footpath and I cant walk fast.
There are shops and plenty of places to eat and drink on the way without the hassle you would get in Ayia Napa main area .You also have a bus stop right outside and is cheap enough to use but we didn't actually need it .
Taxis are expensive (about 8 euro into town)
Also out of the front are 2 supermarkets for your convenience.
Now to the rear of the hotel, the pools were cleaned thoroughly every day by the attendant while we were there his job was to uniform the sun loungers approx 6 pm every night making all the pool areas looking very smart.. There are 3 pools one is located to the right side of the hotel and is where all the daily activity goes on. we didn't use it as it is more for families with children ,the other 2 are right outside the front looking onto the gardens and beach area.
The biggest pool accommodates the children and parents while the Infinity pool is allocated and signed for adults only which helped me choose this hotel .
Some children and parents (all nationality's) obviously ignored the rule which did spoil it for others , this was due to the absence of the pool attendant during the day who would have had more control over this.,
I actually saw one Russian man trying to push his child over the edge of the pool on an inflatable which bent in half over the edge another had one of those dreaded water pistols and was squirting over the top of the pool in the gardens hitting bathers on the other side ! no need for this really but it wasn't always like this and could be easily remedied.
All of the gardens and grounds of Atlantica Sungarden were well maintained well presented and kept spotlessly clean.
Food time now ! well what can I say , there is more than plenty of choice at all meal times for everyone and caters for all tastes which was cooked to perfection. every night of the week there was also a theme night , (oriental Italian etc) I met the head chef who came out of his kitchen at times and you can tell he and his team are very proud of their cooking and rightly so !!
Included in our deal was the Al a carte meal which is served in its own part of the restaurant , fantastic choice and very special. not to be missed but make sure you're hungry before booking your table at reception.
It is worth ordering a packed lunch before 18.00 hrs the night before if you're going out for any reason during the day , this consists of sandwiches, fruit, orange juice and water. their is enough to keep you going and was welcomed by us when we went for a drive on a couple of days.
There are snacks which are available most of the day mainly fresh sandwiches apple pies sausage rolls, popcorn , ice cream and crackers. there are also slush puppies and milkshakes which are very refreshing in the sun.
all local drinks are good on the all inclusive deal including cocktails, long drinks ,champagne and the usual beers spirits pop and hot drinks.
Staff.. well without doubt I can only praise ALL of the staff and management for their hard work and dedication to make your stay here a happy and memorable one. even the trainees give it their best ! Well done to all .
The hotel general manager Nicos Sofocleous has time for every one of his guests and I found him very easy to get along with , he is very polite when he speaks to you and likes to listen to any comments you may have.. he never forgets you and always acknowledge you when he is around !
We didn't bother with the entertainment as we preferred to relax after our evening meal but their seemed to be plenty variety through the week.
We will definitely be returning next year and will certainly recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family which I have many .
My review was truthful and based on the actual experience my wife and myself had during our stay here and hope it is helpful to readers of Tripadvisor .
