Just back from a weeks stay here location to far out and taxi fares scandless ,apts basic and need a refurb but very clean ,pool area and bar excellant , went half board food cold and breakfast choice limited to beans, breakfast strips, fried eggs or scrambled ,fried tomatoes ,small hotdog sausages , toast and cake ? cheese slices and ham slices and 3 choices of cheap cerial ,everyday the same it was dreadful .....dinner not a great selecton and food cold, dessert was a choice of 2 types of cream cake deserts which tasted exactly the same ,ice cream and a bowl of fruit that were like windfalls not great def not like all inclusive places i have been before ...wouldn even compare . a friend was all inclusive and was not impressed with the alcohol they found the cocktails very weak. Bus ticket 1 euro and 3 euro for a day pass but after 11 the fares change to 2.50 euro ....ive stayed in many other places in ayainapa and i have to say if this place was closer i would stay there again but i would only go self catering...and half board if it was cheap but never all inclusive its suitable for families and middle age couples but not for the young and lively .....entertainment very poor the one stop rep was lacking vitality and had not a clue how to entertain guests if it had not been for george the manager and jessie one of the one stop gang it would be dead ....overall i enjoyed my stay there as it was a lovely place and it was a cheapy but would not like to have paid what some guests had paid ...

just returned for Macronissos Village as a family of 6, was lovely, bungalows were very clean but could do with a refurb pool area was excellent, we booked as self catering but upgraded to all incl when we arrived, food was very basic and not very hot, desserts not very good but could get your fill. The staff all over the complex were very good and polite. The grounds of the complex were very well kept and lovely for taking walks to get our grandson to sleep.Only 10 min walk to the beach and about 10 min but ride to Ayai Napa, if you buy a 3 Euro bus ticket you can get to most areas in one day Overall excellent value for money.

I stayed at this hotel in July 2011 for two weeks with 3 of my friends. All female.

We had the best time and the pros definitely out weigh the cons.

Pros:

Lots of sunbeds
Large pool
Lots of seating in the bar and restaurant
free entertainment every night
plenty of staff
clean rooms with amazing maids that went out of the way even picking up and folding clothes (i have messy un-organised friends)
Great food with plenty of variation

Cons:
The security guard at night is a jobs worth - once he accosted me and my friends (all female) walking back to our room and then followed us to our room violently shouting at us and threatening us about how he "spent 20 years in the army". All this because we walked past the pool back top our room - its the only way to go!!
The all inclusive alcohol is sometimes watered down BUT if you have a laugh and a joke with the bar men/women they will put extra alcohol in your drinks.
The air con in the dinner hall - well it blows out warm air meaning your dinner every evening is so uncomfortable.

Overall I would recommend this hotel but stay well away from the pool at night!!

We stayed here for a week booked with Olympic at a very good price for self catering week. Initially Ayia Napa didn't seem too appealing to us but we were very pleasantly surprised, situated just a few miles from Ayia Napa but the bus goes outside the apartments every twenty minutes at a fare of just 1 euro, well worth it. Apartment complex is very nice for 3 star set in lovely gardens (can still hear those birds chirpping!), very well kept, clean complex, entertainment for both the youngsters and adults (daytime + evening) with very nice friendly staff - cleaning ladies most happpy and friendly at their work! The apartment we had was really nice for 2 people with plenty of space, nice big separate bedroom, large living/kitchen area and good sized balcony. If you self cater the cooking facilitiesthough are very limited. All-in-all a most pleasant week - don't hesitate to book this one!

Room Tip: Complex is set out in bungalow style units, very nice layout, ask for a higher floor (3 levels) but...

Just back from Macronissos Village (May 2012) had to write a review the place is great !!!
We stayed in a Villa / Bungalow and thought the rooms were great and kept very clean, the grounds were a good size and the pool/bar area was lovely, the staff were also fantastic very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, The grounds around the village were kept very tidy. My kids went to the Kids Club every day and loved it 3 hours evey morning , it included face painting, drawing etc and Stacey who ran the club was fantastic.
We stayed self catering and found it was very cheap to eat out in Ayia Napa with 1 euro per adult fare on the bus you were 5 min away from the main strip, the variety was great we didn't have one bad meal the whole week we were there and great value for money kids meals were 5 euro and 3 course adult meal including Sirloin Steak was 10 euro each.
A special mention to the Macronissos BBQ Night 25 Euro all you can eat and free drink between 8-12 pm great value !!!
Also a special mention to all at the Kings Sword the food was fantastic with, karaoke, and live music each night the place was great it also showed all the football and was 2 min away from the village.
Macronissos Beach was also lovely, well kept and wasnt far away from the apartments either.
If you want something fancy and Five Star ....then go somewhere else !!!!!
If you want a good fun holiday with great food and a fun place with the kids..then this is the place for you ....because your 5 min of Ayia Napa its nice and peaceful with no larger louts in sight !!!

We will be back .....

Room Tip: Rooms 100 to 112 are at the entrance and away from the pool area so if you want an early night its a...

Myself and a mate stayed here last July the accomodation was basic and could do with an update!! But my biggest problem was the air conditioning which was poor and only in the bedroom its an extra cost to get air con in the living area! The pool was very nice with a lifeguard always on duty and kids entertainment at night was fantastic! We had a chat with our rep at We headed out most nights to Ayia Napa which is only a couple of Euro for a return ticket because taxis can be v expensive!
