My partner and I stayed all inclusive in a bungalow at Macronissos Village from 13th July for one week all inclusive. The bungalow was lovely, clean with a balcony and terrace, living room, small kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster and cooking utensils. We were all inclusive and the food was edible - certainly better than other all inclusive holidays I have been on previously. The maid changed the towels 3 times in the week. Aircon was extra cost - as the temperatures were in the 40's we took this option - the only thing I would say was it only cooled the bedroom - if 4 were staying the additional beds were in the "living room" in the bungalows and this would have been very hot.
The gent on reception could have done with some customer service training on politeness, he was gruff and got very cross if anyone left the reception door ajar - however all other staff were polite and friendly.
Beware if you are wanting a family holiday - there weren't many children present during our stay - we were told that this accommodation is now being marketed in England as young and lively and certainly there were a lot of 18-30 groups although we had no trouble with noise.
A couple of things I would advise are investigate what the snacks are between main meals before you go - we are yet to find out what these were or where they could be obtained from. Also watch out for BBQ night - this is served in the dining hall with no evidence of a BBQ - it starts an hour later than normal and it became a rather long queue for very little alteration from the norm. We had entertainment every night from Lady Gaga tributes to a hypnotist - all were as you would expect
All in all an excellent holiday - Cyprus itself is very clean - Ayia napa is a 30 minute walk or 1 euro on the bus - the waterpark is a ten minute walk and the beach was also a relatively easy stroll even in the heat!

Room Tip: We had a bungalow - these don't have a pool view but are set in quite gardens with apple trees...

we went SC for 2 weeks with our 8 month old baby. stayed in the bungalow which was quiet, good sun terrace and balcony. kitchen was excellent with kettle and equipment provided. room was really clean too. good cot (no holes in the net) and the beds were comfy. the only downside with the room was that its not infant/child friendly. there are 2 sets of stairs and nowhere is safe to leave your child except for in the cot. we asked for a highchair for the room but nothing came of it. the pool was clean large and cold! we ate at the BBQ night twice- excellent value, lovely well cooked meat and plenty to go round. lovely gardens with a lot of wildlife well cared for. beaches near by but you are a bit out of the way for bars, a good 40 min fast walk into aiya napa or 10 min bus ride for 1euro. great food at restaurant next door called garden, great cocktails there too.

I have been to these apartments twice, the first time we were self catering but this time we decided, on the advice of relations, to go all inclusive. What a mistake that was.
Lets start with the positives first, the pool area and gardens are great, plenty of sunbeds, very neat and tidy and the pool looks to be very clean.
We stayed in the bungalows and they could do with a bit of updating inside, there isn't even a sofa, just a plastic chair and two beds. ther are also two smaller chairs and a small table which we moved up onto the roof terrace whch is a lovely spot for an evening drink. There is only air con in the bedroom (6 euro a day) so if your travelling with children the living room area gets very hot.
The complex has a very high percentage of 18 to 25 year olds, probably about 2/3's of the clientele. I believe that one of the travel agents had listed it as 'young and lively' and wasn't as family orientated as the last time we vistited.
Worst aspect of the holiday was the all inclusive. The food offered was very low quality, breakfast stips instead of bacon and reconsituted frankfurter style sausages at breakfast. Lunch was no better, low grade meats and pasta dishes, soulless salad, very very unappetising. Dinner was no better, though the soup was nice but that was about the height of it. Also the dining room was the most drab uninviting place, completely lacking an any king of ambiance. Maybe that's why they kept the curtains closed all the time, or maybe that was to hide the glum expressions of the diners from the rest of the customers outside enoying the sun.
After trying it a couple of times we ate out most of the time. The surprising thing was, the food served at Mac's bar on the complex, which came from the same kitchen by the way, looked really good!! Why should all inclusive be so second rate?
Would i recommend this complex? Yes but dont do all inc, there are great restaurants in the area at all ranges of value. If you never leave the complex and dont care about what you eat it might be valve for money but you will miss the best of cyprus if you do,, be warned.

Room Tip: the apartments are newer than the bungalows but block 300 is right next to the pool and very noisy

Just returned fr a 2 week holiday based at this resort.
Claims to be a 3 star but the accommodation is very basic and substandard. The gardens are lovely however but it's not the gardens you sleep in.
Supposed to be suitable for families although whilst we were there it had a few families but was over run with 16 to 25 yr olds!!!
Youths ran riot and the Olympic reps encouraged them. The language used on stage from the reps was inappropriate and not suitable for families.
Youths being sick in the grounds after a night out and seen having sex in the pool. Suitable for families ? I think not.
The Olympic manager is offensive and unresponsive to complaints, her attitude is if you don't like it tough.
The on site supermarket is a joke with prices through the roof!
Internet / wifi is not free and is extorsionate price
Air conditioning which is essential is 6 euro per day and only available in the bedroom. No good for families who maybe have children sleeping in the sitting/ lounge area.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday don't book this accommodation. I can cope with basic accommodation but rowdy youths and noise not.
May be ok in the low season when no one around but stay awayid or high season.
Not a place to stay if you are wanting accommodation before a wedding. Much better places in Cyprus.

(even with a sprained ankle) Cannot recomend this resort enough, the staff were all lovely and got everyone included in the evening entertainment, which is some off the best i have seen. Something different every night. Yes the rooms were a little basic but they were very spacious which is all you need really, is somewhere to get ready and sleep. The pool area is beautiful and again there was activities throughout the day such as snorkiling and vollyball and it was for everyone not just the kids. Definatly go allinclusive, you can still go out and eat in other restaurants if you want but its nice to know while you are at the hotel that you dont have to worry about drinks, your breakfast and if you have had a long day and just want to come back and relax, the restaurant is there ready.

Take advantage of the excursions, we went on a day boat trip and was the best day of the holiday, it was just so beautiful relaxing in the middle of the med, free drinks and a luchtime meal was included in the price. The food was proper greek buffet and had some of the tastiest foods ive ever had in my life. We even got to jump of the boat into the crystal blue water. Magic!

Room Tip: If you like being in the centre of all the action then ask for a room around the pool. we had the be...

Had a great holiday in the Macronissos all inclusive, with plenty of variation of food and cocktails. Apartment was very roomy, with a huge sunny balcony and sea view. The gardens were beautiful and the pool was equally inviting. Reception were very helpful, as were the bar and waiting on staff. The entertainments team worked very hard to coax reluctant people to join in and we thoroughly enjoyed every day and nights entertainment, especially the hypnotist. Stacey was marvellous with the children, keeping them entertained and always smiling - she deserves a medal! Walkable distance to beaches and regular 1 euro bus ride to and from Napa with bus stop just outside hotel entrance. Waterworld Waterpark minutes walk from hotel, really good. Aphrodite II boat trip was well worth going on - really enjoyable day, jumping off boat, snorkelling, food & drink.
