That was my best hotel experience in Mallorca. And here's why

1) I booked this hotel late at night just hours before driving to it from Palma-Mallorca. It was 4am when I arrived, tired and sleepy. It turned out they hadn't received my request yet. Still their night manager, a man of unique friendliness and politness, provided my chambers. And they didn't charge my anything extra despite my super-early check in. Parking is also free.

2) Their rooms are great. New, comfortable, spacious. Bathroom is absolutely fab.

3) Air conditioning is not a must in Mallorca hotels. But in this case I had it the best way, quiet and powerful.

3) They have private beach. The manager told me 'it's very-very small'. Well, not SO small. And it's just a minute walk from hotel. And the water is as clean and great as anywhere in Mallorca. And once you swim you get fantastic view of the mountaints and hotel and harbor. Also there's a really BIG beach just 10 minutes from the hotel.

4) Costa de Los Pinos is nothing like tourist-packed Alcudia or ElArenal. It's a quiet and cozy corner of Mallorca. So you amlost own the seashore. DISCLAIMER: don't expect some nightclubbing or any other big activites here. It's a place for quiet relaxing.

4) They have a pretty garden with restaurant. Breakfasts and dinners are tasty and huge. And they had a man singing jazz by nights, he is charming. They also have a-la carte restaraunt overlooking seashore. The view is great. The cuisine though is not so great and pricey.

5) The day before departure I asked them to clean my shirts. Due to some techincal glitch they failed. But they did best to correct the mistake. First of all, they retrieved my shirts from washing station. Not a great a deal, you say, but think of that: it was late midnight when I discovered my shirts are absent. Of course laundry service was closed hours ago. And in Spain people HATE to work at night. So it took almost a military operation for hotel manager to retrieve shirts :) But she did it.
Then there was a lot of excuses. Of course they didn't charged for laundry. And even waived my mini-bar due. Who could ask for more?

5) And for all that they charged me 80 eur per day.

The only warning: this place is on the opposite side of island from Palma-Mallorca. And almost 6km from nearest city. So the car is the best way to get here.

Hipotel Eurotel Punta Rotja is located in Costa De Los Pinos, a 10 minute drive from tourist locations Cala Bona and Cala Millor. The hotel has a limited beach facility (a small patch of sand located at the foot of stairs leading down from the hotel), both an outdoor and a small indoor pool, a nice garden with a small playground for children and a couple of tennis courts. It is also ideally located for some golf courses (which we did not try out) and a large pine forest.
Over the first few days of our stay the clients were mainly elderly German tourist groups, towards the end we noticed French, Spanish and German tourists. There were very few children at the hotel, making our 18 month year old toddler a rare exception.
Staff were brilliant with him, very friendly, with some waiters in the main restaurant regularly taking a minute to chat and play cars with him! Overall, staff at the hotel were knowledgeable, friendly and made you feel welcome.
We booked half board, and had breakfast and dinner buffets in the main restaurant. The choice was varied, not exclusively Spanish. At both breakfast and dinner hot food was being prepared on a grill, other food was available on hot plates.
The standard hotel room we had was a decent size, clean, with a balcony facing the pine woods behind the hotel. We did not get a cotbed but the room's sofa was quickly converted to a makeshift bed - which our son loved.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others. It is useful to hire a rental car for trips into the surrounding areas, alternatively the cab rides to Cala Millor cost around 8 Euro.

The hotel was a quiet haven - Not one for the nightclubbing crowd! The hotel was clean, all public areas maintained beautifully and well appointed. As people state in other reviews the rooms/suites could do with a decor update. Our room was on the 7th floor and had a view of hills and the sea and made the holiday even more relaxing. The staff make the place, they are happy and not obtrusive. The food is lovely and well prepared. The restaurant at the edge of the property, while not strictly part of the hotel is a must visit. Excellent knowledge of local produce and food worthy of note. The spa is a wonderfully calming place, and the hotel overall has a laid back atmosphere. It has been there 40+ years and I can just imagine it will be there many more.

Room Tip: Only the suites have direct sea views. Try and get a room on the opposite side to the pool as then t...

A very stressful few weeks with our respective work and family related issues meant that my partner and I were in sore need of a tranquil break. We booked relatively last minute to avoid the english weather and were glad that we had done so.
The entrance set amongst trees and shrubs is welcoming and gives that feeling of a well run establishment. We did not have a sea view but were more than happy looking out onto a wooded hillside. It was also quiet.
The building looks like it has had a fairly recent refurb and we thought generally a successful one. Public areas were smart and clean with nice contrasting furniture. The bedrooms were large, air conditioned and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space, drawers, mini bar (which was not overly pricey) and a lovely bathroom. All in all - good.
The Restaurant was light and bright with pleasant, well trained staff who clearly knew what they were doing. The breakfast and dinner buffets had extensive choice and the standard was good. Only gripe was that if you wanted anything cooked on the griddle you had to choose it uncooked and then wait for it to be cooked in front of you - which was a tad tiresome. Wines were reasonably priced.
The pool area was a bit too crowded for our liking and was best suited to families with kids. We opted for the "beach" option below the hotel. You had to pay 4euros each for the day, but it was definitely worth it. The other option was a delightful middle terrace looking out through the pines and over the bay. The gardens were beautifully maintained and at night it was a picture.
Location is everything with this hotel. It feels similar to one of my favourite destinations - Cap Ferret - on the Atlantic coast. The hotel is surrounded by rather lovely villas set amidst the pine trees and looking out over the bay.
PLus points are the hotel location and setting which is away from the madding crowds; good choice of food and reasonable prices (we were on half board). Also there were no ghastly swimming aerobics with whistles (pet hate) and no loud music at night. Downsides were few - a rather dodgy wi-fi system which although free was unreliable, sometime a chef down at breakfast, bit in all honesty this is nit picking. We had a relaxed and enjoyable stay and would happily stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the sea are desirable but suspect they are noisier.

we stayed a week at the hotel, after arriving at the hotel we were showed to our rooms, our daughter her husband and 16 month old daughter were onre end of the corridor and we were right down the other end, booking as a family we thought we would be next door to each other, not the case so famlies be aware when you book request you want to be next door to your family.
The hotel is lovely and in a very quiet and the staff are lovely and nothing is ever to much trouble.
The rooms at the hotel are basior as the broucher says........Standard!!!! when we booked our holiday with the co op i asked the girl if we were having the room that they showed in the book and she said NO ive booked you two superior rooms, the standard rooms are not very nice, they are cold and uninviting, not pleasent to be in,the reception told us that we were in a superior room,it was nothing like our daughters room so my advise is if you are not happy with your room complan right away,we did but was told all floor 3 was superior rooms,no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The rep wasn't much help if im honest.
The food was beautiful, plenty of choice every night, one tip though, get your meats or fish cooked first and then get your veg or chips as the queues can be long.
We were also told you are first or second to be dropped off at the hotel bu t infact you are last, apparently thomson are having out with the coach company.
I strongly believe that the four star rating for this hotel is based on the hotels restaurant and food Not the rooms.
I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: ask for rooms looking out to the pool or sea as the rooms at the rear of the hotel look out to the u...

We stayed at the hotel for one week with our children (6 and 8) and found it an excellent place. Hotel is located at very quiet part of Mallorca very far away from disco and "night life" which was just great for our family stay. Food served in the restaurant ( buffet style) was excellent and very rich starting from several types of cheese to just-prepared beef steaks on demand. Rooms are a little bit old fashioned and small but we found ourselfs being a whole day near pools or at sea. Service was great, rooms clean and animation program for our kids nice. I would welcome just one improvement - wifi at reception (only :((() is a little bit slow and doesn't cover big area

We stayed here for two nights and loved the seclusion of where we were. The grounds were beautiful and it's right on the sea. Although it's rocky and the nice place to swim is about 1 km further down the coast right by a lovely beach bar there.

The room was quite basic and one of those mini bars stacked full of over priced items that I didn't want in there. I just wanted a fridge. I asked to have them removed and was told no. Fridge is for mini bar items only. Mmmmm...

2 single beds made a double. I hate them. Not good for snuggling with your loved one, or maybe good if you want to avoid snuggling with your loved one! :)

Our room faced the wrong side. Very disappointing. We could see the sea but it was not anywhere near as nice as the other side of the Hotel and much much darker as it's north facing. I like my rooms to be bright.

The rooms really need a refurb urgently. It's a lovely properly with 20 year old+ furniture.

We loved the quiet location, the grounds, the gorgeous restaurant by the sea (not strictly part of the hotel) and the general relaxed vibe. A nice place to stay and please do visit that beach bar down the road 1km. It's wonderful!
