Excellent budget hotel in a great location a few minutes from the beach. Clean, well appointed, great pool and Pepe and Ramon who run the place couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Highly recommended.

In the world of big corporate hotel chains, it is refreshing to stay in a family run business. Cala San Vicente is a small quiet resort and the hotel fits in with the area. I can confirm most of what the other reviewers have said. There is a small pool and the garden is very pretty. The brothers are friendly and have a wealth of local knowledge that they are happy to share with you. We stayed half board. Which was very good value with the package we bought. It was also a little of out of season so some of the restaurants in the area were closed so it turned out to be a good idea. You get a three course home cooked meal every night which is freshly prepared and nicer than the big hotel buffets we also got a glass of wine and a bottle of water with our meal. We don't have any dietary requirements but from talking to the brothers they will be happy to accomodate if you do. There also seems to be a balcony with every room.

The Hostel Oriola is a smallish hotel run by 2 brothers Ramon and Pepe. They are welcoming and always ready to help, and that is what makes this place a bit special.
There is a lovely pool area and garden - look out for resident tortoises. The breakfast is really nice. It's a short walk to the most beautiful beach - small but fantastic scenery and nice bar.
The rooms are clean and all have balconies.

This small hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Cala Molins beach and ideal for a holiday in Cala San Vicente. Our room was basic but the beds were really comfortable and the bathroom had a powerful shower that was always hot. The pool is in the garden behind the hotel.
It was really peaceful and quiet there. The hotel is faced by private houses and there is no road noise, just one car and bus an hour when we were there! The reliable buses to Pollensa or Porto Pollensa go from the bus stop near the beach. There are 2 restaurants there, a bar/cafe opposite the beach and the beach bar next to the beach. There is a bank, newspaper shop, small supermarket, beach shop etc a short walk away (up a flight of steps). There are more restaurants and bars in the area, all good and very reasonable. The large Molins hotel has a restaurant that is open to non- residents. Drinks can be enjoyed on the terrace at the Oriola. We did not eat at the Oriola but Pepe offers a 3 course dinner for just 12 euros. The breakfast at the hotel was good; muesli, orange juice, fresh bread rolls and croissants, preserves, cheese and a boiled egg. Good tea selection. Breakfast can be taken outside on the terrace if preferred.
The hotel booked the transfer for us and stopped directly outside the hotel. At 15 euros each it was good value. Pepe and Ramon run the Oriola with charm and efficiency. The hotel is good value and was ideal for our holiday in September.

Room Tip: The rooms are on 2 floors; the top floor gives better outlooks.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Oriola. Ramon and Pepe have taken over from their Father who introduced us to the hostel many years ago. We love it, the decor is quite dated ( now in fashion again) but the rooms although basic are exceptionally clean. The brothers are very helpful but not intrusive. We find this a great base from which to explore the island or just laze around locally. We have bed and breakfast but this year had dinner on one evening and the paella was out of this world. We will hopefully return soon.

This was our first visit to Majorca, we were looking for a relaxing break, in quiet surroundings and having read previous reviews decided upon Oriola, and we were not disappointed! Ramon and Pepe run the bed and breakfast with lots of love, care and attention to detail which all contribute to you feeling like you are in a 'home from home' environment. Yes, as you will read in most reviews the rooms are basic, but they are spotlessly clean, and the beds are comfortable. There is no air con, and it does get hot, but the fans supplied do a satisfactory job. The pool and terrace are beautiful if the sun is strong and you want to escape the heat of the beach. There were plenty of parasols on site to use for the beach, at no charge, and the brothers were always on hand to give a more reliable local weather forecast! If you want to visit the local area there are buses that run regularly and Ramon and Pepe will advise if you have any questions.

This is not the resort for you if you like a lively setting, but if a genuine get away from it all break is what you are after take a chance, you will not be disappointed. The beach is a gentle 5 minute stroll, with a beach bar, and toilets. There are several restaurants all within a 5 minute walk. La Tasca was our favourite, serving good sea food. Average meal with drink around €20 a head. The Marinas bar is located at the top of the resort, about 5 minutes walk up a set of steps, but it is worth the climb for a good value meal. The menu of the day was less than €9 for 3 courses! By the end of our stay we felt like part of the family, the waiting staff are great fun, and deliver excellent service. We also discovered that this bar did a great takeaway service baking baguettes to order at lunchtime. A freshly made hot chicken baguette on the beach just added to the whole experience!

It is easy to understand why this resort has many return visitors, and is very popular with both couples and families. Book to stay if you like your holiday to be at a gentle pace, with not many distractions, if something more lively is your thing then this is not the resort for you!

Room Tip: This is a quiet resort, and although we were allocated a pool view as requested we would be happy wi...

We returned yesterday from a 5 day break in Cala San Vicente Majorca, this time we stayed at Hostal Oriola. The hotel is run by 2 brothers and was previously owned by their father. The decor is dated but so much so it makes it really charming. The rooms don't have aircon, mini fridge, tv etc but are spotlessly clean and in a good state of repair.

The service is personal and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble, we were even offered a lift into puerto pollenca when the ATM was broken in Cala. We hired bikes and were able to store them in there garage/basement safely. They lock the doors at 11pm but you are given a front door key.

Oriola has a nice pool area and peaceful terrace, there's no pool bar or music..you are free to bring your own food and drink to poolside, which is a real bonus.

The breakfast is simple but tasty and very fresh.

This was a holiday with my partner but I would consider returning in early or late season with friends to enjoy some walking.
