Where L'alba bar and restaurant was situated has now closed down but just across the road is La Tasca which has taken over from L'alba, same staff so it was lovely to be remembered from the last 2 years. The restaurant is just up from the beach and even though it doesn't overlook the sea, it is in a very nice setting.
The service is second to none, food excellent but mind the extra charge for the bread/salsa and olives (6.50 euros) which they bring out when you are looking at the menu! We started with whitebait and squid rings which were lovely and tasty (11 euros for both) then my partner had the suckling pig (14 euros) and I had a steak (16 euros) both cooked to perfection. They don't do chips as such but both dishes came with potato wedges and red peppers and garlic mushrooms.
Staff very friendly and again very clean toilets but they are upstairs.
3rd year of going to this restaurant and we will go back again on our next holiday to Majorca, it's not the cheapest but for the quality of food it is worth checking out, we love it.
Evenings are not mega dressy but you don't see people eating her wearing shorts, so it's more smart/casual.
There aren't that many restaurants in this area but well worth going early to sit or walk around the bay before the restaurant opens at 7pm.
