“Quality adequate to the price paid....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 December 2013

I stayed in the hotel on the beginning of October (6th-12th). I was looking for some cheap place to stay as I went to see my friend and we basically spent all the time out and about. I only used hotel for sleeping. To be honest, the hotel isn´t in its best condition and would do with some do up´s, but I can´t complain about anything at all. The staff was very friendly and as I speak Spanish fluently, I had nice long chats with the barman and recepcionist about all aspects of life on Mallorca and got great information and recomendation about many different things, restaurants and places to go. The breakfast was basic and sometimes, when I came later, it wasn´t much left, but again, it was adequate to the price paid (it was bread, toaster to make toast, butter, jam, honey, ham and cheese, orange flavour ribena, coffee and tea facilities, some sweet bread). The dinner, as it was end of season, was served in nearby Hotel Mazas. It was buffet with wide range of food, soup, meat, fish, vegetarian main course, olives, rice, pasta, potatoes, chips....and always something sweet - jellie, ice cream, custard and fruit. Simply and shortly: hotel offers service which you pay for and if you require better service, you should look for more stars and higher price. I would recommend it and would go back. I had lovely time.

We originally booked into the Alegria, but it was shut when we arrived and relocated to the Emperador. The only thing good about this place is the staff....all 4 of them (from who we saw!). The pool is tiny and in the shade, looks nothing like the pic, the room was terrible, sink falling off the wall, stained bath, horrible black toilet pipe, cracked and uplifted tiles, rusty balcony, no tv, no english breakfast, no entertainment, loose wires hanging from walls, mouldy curtains, stains on walls, no glass in rotten window panes, and no water for 2 days, etc etc etc too many to list. But the food was passable, the hotel was clean, the drinks were drinkable (especially the sangria) and the staff were really lovely and helpful. They need a medal to work there! We paid £469 all inclusive for 2 adults and although it was cheap we will be demanding a refund from Hot Deals!! One family paid £1700 and had to share 4 beds for 7 of them!!! This place needs shutting down!!

Room Tip: Book elsewhere for a good room!

Got the holiday really cheap and wasn't expecting much but was very satisfied. Not the classiest of places but if you get a good deal then don't worry about the bad reviews just go for it! Rooms were clean food was fine and all inclusive drinks were good. Only 5/10 min walk to the front where there are plenty of shops and bars and the beach. Would definitly go again.

The facilities were basic but overall you get what you pay for and at £189 including all meals, drinks, flights and accommodation for 1 week we all agreed what an absolute bargain. We ate everyday in the hotel and found the food plentiful, tasteful and a wide variety to choose from everyday. We will definitely be going back next year.

We stayed at the Sister Hotel last year (Palma Mazas) an after spending a whole weekend looking for a cheap deal elsewhere, we decided to come back to what we knew but try The Emperador! Very similar to the other Hotel but smaller. Room was clean, a little dated but we only use it to shower and sleep. Staff lovely as always (especially the Man on Reception, he was very helpful when my Boyfriends money was stolen one night on the Beach!) Pool area clan and tidy, drinks pretty strong! Food was fine again, just a bit different to what us English are used to but there is always something for the pickier of eaters! Tip - there is a smaller beach to the left of the Marina, no 'Lookie Lookie' men or Fruit Sellers, appears to be the place the locals take their families.

We were expecting to be at the Palma Mazas hotel but on arrival were sent down the road to the Emperador. We had a really cheap, £158 each, half board package deal so were not expecting a luxury hotel. In fact some things were better than we have experienced in other hotels. The double bed was 5 foot wide and the mattress seemed fairly new and quite comfortable. There wasn't a TV but it made a nice change not to have one for a week. Our room overlooked the pool area which looked reasonably spacious although we never went there as we spent our days exploring the Island by bus, train and bicycle and prefer to swim in the sea. We didn't bother with the hotel breakfast but the evening meals were adequate with choice of salad, meat & fish dishes. The most shocking sight were the hugely piled plates of food that some people had! Altogether we thought it was an excellent deal and we had a great holiday.

The hotel staff were friendly, the outside looked great... The rooms.. Looked a bit 'hotel hell'. We pretty much just used them to store our belongings and to sleep so we weren't too bothered. The beds however, we VERY uncomfortable. All inclusive was fine, breakfast was dreadful but all other meals weren't too bad!
Location was good, not far from the beach and very close to Aqualand. Pool area was nice too.
