Zamora is a lovely and very old town. There is a fabulous castle, now a ruin, but you can go into it and tour it. The old narrow streets are charming and authentic. There are a good number of Romanesque churches from the 12th century, in extremely good condition. Lots of good cafes and tapas places. Best tapas I had in all of Spain!
