“The most spectacular views of Cuenca”

Puente de San Pablo (Saint Paul Bridge)

You can reach the bridge walking down through a trail starting in the heart of the old city. From this bridge you will enjoy the most spectacular view towards the hanging houses (Casas Colgadas) and also a thrilling look down the gorge. The gorge is illuminated at night (until 12 midnight!) so you can visit both during daylight and night, since it is different but equally amazing. If you are a couple, I reccommend you bring a padlock! It seems to be a tradition for couples to put a padlock in the bars of the bridge, must be a good luck charm. We didn't know about it but would have brought one if we had known just to be part of the tradition!

A top spot, but quite crowded. A must visit, though - it offers one of the best views towards the city.

As one would expect from a bridge up high in the mountains, it offers a good view with the associated nerve tingling.

This is one of the most popular vantage points from which to look across the river to see old town Cuenca and its "hanging houses" from a good perspective. Don't miss it. You can cross from old town itself, or climb up the road from new town and use the bridge to cross into old town.

This is a must-do while you are in Cuenca, unless you have a fear of heights. Walking across the bridge provides a great perspective of the "hanging houses" and great scenic views. The vertical drop-off is amazing.
