“One of the best of trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

Hard to find this spot but the food was worth the effort. Walking distance from Hotel, almost hidden from street. Had the pork tenderloin and grilled mushrooms on a plank. Super. Very fair prices.

“Excellent Spanish Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

We went here last night after asking our hotel receptionist to recommend a Spanish restaurant. It's down a back street and wouldn't have been that easy to find, but was completely full of Spanish families, with just one table left inside.

The menu is all in Spanish and the staff don't speak English, so with our very limited Spanish we ordered steak and calamari with a house salad. All was beautifully cooked and presented, and with a decent bottle of house red wine, water and bread, total bill was a very reasonable 50 euros. They are generous with their portions so you don't need to order too much. They don't take bookings so it's a bit hit and miss whether you'll be able to get a table, but it's worth going to if you can.

“Excellent traditional food and barbecue meals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2013

It is worth to walk outside the old town of Cuenca to go this jewel of traditional Spanish food and excellent barbacue meals! The atmosphere is lively, with the bar and the tables in the same room (don't expect an intime and private atmosphere here). We had barbacued pork sirloin and barbacued vegetables and everything was delicious. We also had really nice home made desserts. Be careful, they are really generous with the food, so don't order too much! You can expect to pay around 15 euros per person incl. drinks and dessert: no bad for such a quality! Highly recommended!
