Absolutely one of the best places to have dinner in Cuenca, You really feel like if you are from there with all this local menu, Im not really fan of the Spanish food but this place makes me considere it. Been there twice and I hope to make it a third. Presentation is nice, service is good and the prices are fair if you compare it with others restaurants from the area. If the weather allows it you can get a table outside with an amazing view.

This is the 2nd time we have visited this restaurant and we will be back!
The service is great. It was not a planned visit and we had no reservations (they are needed) and they were gracious enough to accomodate us.

My husband and cousin asked for the Pate de Oca with Honey. OMG!!! this was one of the best things we have ever tasted.

We will definitely be back once again!!!!

This place has a lot going for it and it could easily be the best place to eat in Cuenca if they wanted to. The location and ambience of the restaurant is lovely. The staff are very professional and service is very good. The price of their wines is also very reasonable.

What unfortunately makes this restaurant only 'average' is sadly the quality of their food. We shared the goat cheese salad which paled in comparison to a similar salad we had earlier in the day. For our main entrees I got the lamb stew and my husband got the house speciality (lamb shoulder). First, the presentation of both were very sad, lacking any color or creativity. It looked like something we'd get a neighborhood asador not in a fancy restaurant. The shoulder was very strong tasting, but at least it was tender. My 'stew' was not really a stew but several bites of lamb served along side some bland, overcooked mushrooms and french fries (not roasted potatoes as indicated on the menu). Both dishes were served lukewarm. For dessert: the flan de queso (manchego cheese cake) was pretty good, but neither of us liked the torrija.

All in all, the price here does not match the quality of the food we were served, so unfortunately, we'd probably not return.

Very pleasant experience with excellent view, ambience and service. Staff was very attentive. Food was good but was reheated and served cold. I had the hake with vegetables. When it arrived, it was presented beautifully, but the only vegetables were a small potato and broccoli head, which were cold and obviously he been cooked earlier,as they were overlooked. I also felt there was no value and the dinner see Ed expensive for the quality.

Being reputable and staying it requires extra effort keeping it that way by pleasing expectant clientele full stop. Unfortunately this was not the case as is discovered. The ambience is excellent, the views over the old town are fabulous, but that’s not sufficient. Some widely varying opinions were the reason to undertake a fair test; the menu of the house - being the business card - was selected to apply an objective and fair test. Having a restaurant degree of three forks puts the hurdle higher to maintain this top position; unfortunately the test was not successfully passed. A pity, as with just a little more attendance, effort, and better control from management it easily would have been possible. The hot champion soup was served cold and reheated, the main course a Dorada fish fillet missed out too. An enquiry about the origin of the Dorado fish was (purposely?) not answered, which is a grave mistake at this level of cuisine. Service and personal attendance was of a performance one can expect in Venta type establishments; none inquiry about taste and satisfaction whatsoever was performed. Nevertheless, based on location and ambience, this place deserves a recommendation; hopefully management will take this well meant advice at heart?
