Kirima Cottages

We stayed at Kirima Cottages over the long weekend and absolutely loved it. Mike was lovely, and popped into to check on us to make sure all was OK. The cottages are comfortable & spotless. The beds very comfortable. The open fire + reverse air con meant that we were actually 'too hot' at some points at night....a nice problem to have when it was a very chilly 2 agrees at night! We were amazed by the composting toilet (odourless - and it really was). They have a great bushy outlook, which was perfectly enjoyed with a wine & cheese on the balcony, whilst we cooked a BBQ on the Weber provided. We chose Kirima as we wanted to take our dogs with us. There's a great area for them to around as they chased a few rabbits and Kangaroos! We'll definitely be going back.

Room Tip: If you have dogs, Kurajong cottage is next to a great big area for the dogs to run around.

We stayed at Kirima Cottages for 2 nights with friends and loved every minute of it. The cabins are well designed, spotlessly clean and a comfortable place to sit back and relax.

We spent some time in Mudgee doing the rounds of the wineries etc, and love the place. Every shop or winery we visited had happy smiling people behind the counter.

We will definitely be back to Mudgee and when we do, we'll definitely stay at Kirima Cottages.

Excellent break, the cottages are dog-friendly, close to the vineyards and close to Mudgee and good food. Set in bushland, the distance between each cottage is about 50 metres, so quite private. Interior is wood-lined with good ambient light. Highly recommend.

Though slightly off the beaten track (and up some slightly treacherous muddy roads in the wet), Kirima cottages proved to be very comfortable for a brief stay in Mudgee. The place was spotless, beds comfy and the welcome as warm as the reverse cycle air conditioning.
The much commented on composting toilet was fine and completely odour free. I would happily return!

Stayed in Mudgee on a last minute trip away for the weekend. We have two dogs and like to take them away with us. Kirima cottages was a great find - very dog friendly with lots of space to run and rabbits to chase! Only negative was that there wasn 't a fenced area to leave the dogs at home when we went wine tasting. The owner had provided us with wood for the fantastic log fire and had even got the fire going before we arrived late on the Friday night. We will definitely be back.

My family have just come back from spending the long weekend at Kirima Cottages. These cottages have everything you need, they are very clean, well designed 2 bedroom cottages.

They are close to town, wineries etc. The other Kirima cottages are close by but they are still far enough away to ensure privacy.

Our ten year olds had a blast, they explored the mountain all day and were exhausted by night fall. As for our little puppies they also really enjoyed themselves, they just weren't sure what the kangaroo was that jumped past them!!

I would recommend Kirima Cottages for anyone that is looking for a little time away without a too long a drive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two days and three nights at the cottage this week. The cottage was very comfortable and welcoming, and well supplied with everything we could have needed. The peaceful and beautiful bushland setting is great, too, very restful and quiet (apart from all the birdsong, of course). Having our German Shepherd with us made it twice as good.
