A great alternative to the cellar doors that only offer wine. This place has goats out the back and friendly dogs on the verandah. A great place to hang out (and catch your breath and check out the view when you're cycling around).

We did the Leaning Oak Cheese Farm as part of two local places on the monthly 'Farm Walk' tour (held each Sunday following the Saturday monthly Farmers Market). I think doing it this way most likely had a better view than just walking in off the street. Both the hostess and the 'milk maid' were very pleasant, very generous with their time and happy to share their knowledge on sheep and goat milk farming. We met the goats and watched the milking and then tried various soft cheeses - marinated fettas and labna. We didn't actually get to see to cheese-making process. All in all, a very enjoyable and informative experience.

Tried their cheeses, some very nice. Only had 2 wines to try, terrible! Place is very grubby, needs a good steam clean & spruce up.

Went here with the hopes of trying fresh cheeses, however, the place smelt of old goat, and, we were quickly turned away by the hostess as all cheeses were at the Farmers' Market in town. We would have been happy to try their wines, however, we weren't offered a chance. Avoid.

Leaning Oak is a less polished cellar door than some, but offers a rougher edged charm. The wines are ok, but they have a good selection of sheep and goats cheeses that make it worth dropping in for.

There's also plenty of goats wandering around - so you know the cheese is definitely made from very local ingredients!
