Amazing and incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, fantastic location, very good for watching bears (the Weir and Finger stands consistently seemed to attract most bears) and other wildlife (especially eagles/seals), food great. Absolutely no wifi or mobile phone reception, which was a pleasant relief (e.g. no mobiles interrupting bear watching) and even the wifi addicted offspring agreed on balance that it worked well. Rooms comfortable and a good size. The Lodge operates a strict regimen, with breakfast from 06:30 and activities planned at pre-determined times throughout the day, which worked well and was essential in order to coordinate the different activities.

If you want to do the whale watching trip you MUST stay at Knight Inlet for 3 nights.

Only grumble is that the activities on the second and subsequent days are determined on the evening of the night before on a first-come first-served basis, which meant we didn't get our preferred options; given just how expensive the Lodge is (and it's a lot), there must be a better way of determining who does what.

But on balance, a fantastic way to watch bears with an excellent team at the Lodge; just be pushy (and early) in trying to book the next day's activities.

What an amazing place. Only thing that let it down slightly for us, was the hotel in Campbell River. Its no where near the town, so unless you want to eat at the local pub, you have either a long walk or expensive taxi ride to get food.
Back to Knights Inlet itself. What an amazing place. The accommodation was brilliant, spacious and spotlessly clean.
The staff, were without exception BRILLIANT, so friendly, and very helpful. They were very informative, and bent over backwards to make sure everyone had a good time.
The food was excellent, plenty of choice and very well cooked.
I just loved this place and can't wait to go back.

What an amazing holiday and one it will be difficult to forget. Our aim was to see Black and Grizzly bears and in no way were we disappointed, thanks to the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides that we were fortunate to have. All the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had an experience never to be forgotten. The rooms were well appointed with excellent ensuite facilities. The food was amazing and all freshly prepared and indeed, in some cases, freshly harvested from the cove itself. All the equipment was first class, so there really was no need to take wet weather clothing. A truly memorable time, spent with those we will always consider 'our friends'. Thank you all so much.

What a wonderful place! Comfortable rooms, excellent food, and then, of course, the wildlife - bears, whales, dolphins, deer, and the knowledge that you are staying in a place that is trying to help conserve the local bear population. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff (it felt as if we were staying with our oldest and most hospitable friends)

Everyone does the same thing on the day of arrival - several trips out in a boat. From then on, there is a variety of activities to choose from. One hint - if you possibly can, stay for three days. People who stay for three days could spend an entire day out on a boat if they wanted - for us that day was the highlight of an unforgettable three days.

No words can describe this place and the experiences possible from there. Fly in by sea plane and 45 mins later you are on boats looking for bears. Superb organisation and logistics and a friendly staff make for an easy time. Catering superb and the design of the activities and support equipment is very well thought out. People of all ages and abilities are able to enjoy. This is a must do.

Absolutely wonderful time at Knight Inlet Lodge. Arrived by floatplane early morning and welcomed by lovely, friendly staff who immediately took care of our luggage, gave us the bedroom keys and made us feel at home. We had a briefing, which lasted approximately half hour, then grabbed a quick coffee and onto our first bear watching experience - fantastic!

Over the day and next morning, we saw grizzlies (inc mums with their yearling cubs), a black bear, seal pups bobbing in the water, got soaked underneath a waterfall, saw salmon jumping everywhere, kingfishers and bald eagles. Truly, truly awesome. In hindsight, we do wish we had stayed another night.

Buffet style food was exceptional, plentiful, lovingly prepared by the guys in the kitchen. Thanks guys! They didn't even mind us watching through the window when they were preparing it.

Being an inquisitive sort of a person, I asked about the utility services on site and was given an escorted tour of the generators, boat workshop etc whilst waiting for our floatplane for the return journey. Nothing is too much for any of the staff here! And their knowledge on all subjects is unbelievable.

Words cannot really describe this truly wonderful experience, do not miss out on going here!

Thanks to everyone at the Lodge, it was the icing on the cake to our holiday!

We had a wonderful time at Knight Inlet Lodge. As soon as we arrived on the sea plane we were greeted by friendly staff who immediately made us feel welcome and at home. They explained the workings of the lodge days and the trips and within half an hour we were on a boat in the estuary watching bears. We were fortunate to see quite a few bears feeding on salmon and one morning they were really close as the tide went out and they chased the salmon. Awesome experience. The staff could not only not do enough to make you enjoy your stay but they were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and grizzly bears. We echo all the comments about the food which was exceptional. Three whole days without internet, televisions or phone reception. Bliss! Even our three grown up children didn't mind. Best advice we can give - do not just go for one night you need to have 3 nights at the Lodge to have a chance of getting all the experiences that the trip warrants. Moira and her team were an amazing group of people who made our experience at Knight Inlet so memorable.
