“Great cabins in Pinetop, Arizona”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We stayed for just one night but will definitely go back and stay longer. The managers were wonderful, very knowledgable about the area, and helpful. The cabins were very clean and comfortable. Reminded me of cabins in Montana that my family stayed in when I was little only updated. We rented two units, they both had kitchenettes, two nice queen beds, TV and wifi and priced very reasonably.

Double B Lodge was perfect for us. We traveled with our small dog and wanted a place near restaurants and parks. This place was just right. The cabin was one bedroom with a small kitchenette; comfortably furnished and very clean. We could walk to food and take a short drive to an area park with a great walking path. Pinetop is only a short drive to hiking, fishing and skiing so its a perfect central location in the cool Arizona White Mountains.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a cabin. There are other rooms that are in a connected motel-like area. We p...

The cabins themselves are sweet. It's the staff that we felt were incompetent and the owners were unwilling to be reasonable.
We rented 7 cabins for our weekend wedding. The day after the wedding my daughter had to drive back home because her baby was not doing well. We asked for a refund for her 1 night.
The hmmed & hawed...acting like this was a real crisis. They knew they made a bunch of money off us that weekend and could have been kind & refund that one night.

Within 1/2 our of me canceling my daughters cabin another family member, unaware, booked their cabin for 1 more night. This CLEARLY made up for their loss on my daughters cabin.
They easily could have found some kindness in their hearts to refund us.

Rest asurred, NONE of the 25 people that stayed there will be returning!!

We stayed here after Xmas for skiing at Sunrise, in Cabin 15. Really clean, cute, everything seemed new. Very reasonably priced, and the cabins actually have a separate bedroom - we were with our eight-year old, so having a separate bedroom rather than a traditional hotel room allows grownups to stay up later without disturbing the child. Friendly owners. Jacuzzi on the property was hot and clean. We had a really nice experience here and will come back.

We found this little gem as we were traveling with 2 other families. It was a perfect spot right off the road. The owner was very nice and super accommodating, we really enjoyed our stay and will be back! Super close to a lake for fishing and hiking too!

We have a group of friends who travel to different campsites and lodges, throughout the summer, just to get away from the Phoenix heat. This was our first visit to Double B Lodge. The staff was very friendly and there were some fun things for the kids to do on-site. The grounds were well kept. We stayed in room 2 and it was okay, but everything was so old. I don't think they've replaced the fridge, the stove, the TV or the decor since 1980. Everything was clean, except the oven. We used it once and the room filled up with smoke because the bottom of the oven hadn't been cleaned. One thing that grossed me out was that our room had thick berber (shag-like) carpeting, which tends to carry lots of germs and can be a breeding ground for bugs, in a hotel/motel atmosphere. Rooms that are used over & over like that, should always have wood, tile or tight looped carpeting (for sanitation purposes). All-in-all, this was a decent stay and it's less expensive than the other cabin rentals in the area. I would have paid a little more to be further from the main road and have nicer accommodations, but it was alright for this trip, since it fit within the budgets of the rest of our group. I would stay here again, but probably in one of the individual cabins. They are nicer, newer and have wood floors. I think I'll avoid the motel rooms, from now on.

Room Tip: Book a cabin, rather than one of the motel rooms.

Staff was very accommodating. We stopped here early in the day and they cleaned a cabin for us and had us checked in within an hour and a half! we were happily surprised at how cute and clean the cabins were. We liked it so much that we are on our way back for a second stay!
