Stayed 2 nights here. Good 15 minutes drive out of town so definitely need a car, which reflects the cheap price (we paid $180 for 2 nights for 4 of us in a quad room!) Did look & feel a lot like school camp accommodation-old tv, no climate control in rooms which was pretty stuffy, very soft mattress on the bed. Dated motel type rooms. Knew about the Wi-Fi before we arrived so son finished his assignment in reception area which had free wifi for a short time. Young staff very helpful but totally overwhelmed as received many complaints while we were in reception, mainly to do with quality of furnishings not as expected & of course the wifi issue. Breakfast was included & was better than just the cereal & toast we had expected-There was also plenty of fresh & tinned fruit, lovely freshly made bircher muesli & mini muffins for the sweet toothed people. Not enough seats though as very busy morning due to long weekend. Staff run off their feet, but did what they could to keep everyone happy. I would probably stay again as it was adequate for our needs & as expected for the cheap price so close to the city.
The major problem is when booking online problems with it showing up on the hotels computer. The rooms are good but the biggest problem is the heating you can not adjust it from your room. Staff are friendly.
Potentially great, staff very helpful, full breakfast more than sufficient, room a
little shabby, BUT two things need urgent attention.
* TV in room old with only a handful of analog stations. NO DIGITAL!!!!!
Needs upgrade with 32cm LCD full HD immediately
* Internet cost outragious based on early contracts. Unbelievable at$11
for an hour, $24.95 for 24hrs. Once registered continuous. Most motels
and accoms free internet or can sign in, out, in, with timer stopped
when signed out. Imagine a business man taking 24 hrs, only using 2hr
with intermittent sign in, sign out. Very expensive internet. Of 8 accoms
in 2 weeks by far the most expensive. Accor in France and Belgium
far cheaper than this. Totally outdated. A thought; add $5 per nt per adult
giving another marketing tool of FREE WI FI. Great for business people, retirees, and families.
Certainly would stay there again, especially if these 2 critical points

The first surprise was that their wi-fi is $12.50 for 2 hours.
The second surprise was the accommodation quoted (over the phone) $169 a night for a double bed/$179 for a queen. Online prices differ significantly, being $110 and $101 for a Sunday and Monday night for a double bed.
We have stayed here many many times and find it a lot cheaper than staying in Canberra itself. I will report if there are any major differences. I'm hoping the breakfast has a few more choices this time.
Property needs to be updated. It feels very dated and landscaping is untidy and tired. Need better signage to find the entry from the main road. BUT it is good value for money, out of town and a nice bush setting. Not great food and breakfast could be "fresher" thst is it all stays too long under the heaters.
