We stay here for two nights twice per year and find it super convenient for the Lifeline Canberra Book Fair. Sure, this resort is showing its age and superficially needs a facelift (brick work, pathways, gardens, outdoor lighting, paintwork) but the interior of each room is very comfortable with first class beds, plenty of spare blankets and towels. The bathrooms are big and brightly lit. The restaurant menu is good value (size of meal vs price) and you can order almost the same meals as room service (ie you phone your order to Reception; they'll call you back when it's ready - about 20 mins- and walk down to collect your order from the Cafe.
Big pluses for this resort: awesome amount of free car parking, and each room is on the ground floor, near its area of car parking so there's no issue with stairs when you're carrying your luggage to/from your car.More
