Location so quiet yet so close to London & to all the sites Kent has to offer! This is the consumate B&B experience because you are truely invited into Peter, Stephanie & Libby's home!! Be sure to book Peter in for a meal or three, cause you ain't gonna find anything better at Claridges!!

My wife and i just returned from a trip to england and one of the highlights of the trip was our 2 night stay at foxbrush barn in kent. It wasn't the easiest place to find but, boy we were glad we did. We knew we would arrive around supper time so we pre-arranged a meal with peter when we booked and i must say it was marvelous, especially the blackberry sauce we had on the duck breast (the berries were picked that afternoon). The house itself was outstanding...all open beam cielings and stone floors and one of the most comfortable beds we had on the trip... boy did we sleep like babies! This part of kent is one of the few places left that grow hops for that lovely english ale and we were lucky enough to see the harvest on one our morning strolls.(see fotos) All and all we loved our short stay and hope we can manage to repeat in the near future.

  • Liked — very friendly, very english, very quiet
  • Disliked — the room is in the loft... a bit warm in the summer.
  • Tips/Secrets — eat with the family at least once

Stayed here for 2 nights in early 2006, had a great time, owner and wife are both very friendly and run a smart, stylish B&B. As the owner is an ex chef, if you wish he will cook you a pre arranged dinner at a little extra cost, but from what we tasted it was superb. Under floor heating throughout (you need it, its all flag stones on the ground floor) Very nice touches throughout, Great walks in this very secluded area.

We will return.
