“Dinner was fine, enjoyed the live entertainment”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

We enjoyed a dinner here in mid March. The dinner was fine - we ordered the fish of the day. The dessert was disappointing and we should have skipped the sticky toffee pudding. The cake tasted old and if it was not for the toffee it would have been terrible.

“Excellent value and great views”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

The fish is very fresh, the service attentive, and the views are knockout. We ate outdoors, on the early side, and enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

“Our third visit to VinoVino and it didn't disappoint”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

We went over to Waiheke to participate in a half-day wine tour and on our return, the tour guide dropped us off in Oneroa within a few metres of the restaurant.

Although we didn't have a booking, we were shown to a table on arrival and although not on the deck with the stunning views from there, we could still look out to sea.

We ordered from the lunch time menu and three fish and chips and one lamb burger later, were on our way. Services was very efficient and the food was great and there was a generous serving of fish.

“Value with a view”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

The fish dinners, salmon and snapper, were delicious. Good views from the window seats. Polite and nice food service help and a good wine selection from local vineyards.

“Excellent Calamari with a Great View”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

The service at VinoVino was at best 'odd'. The lady serving us seemed annoyed with our presence and huffed and puffed when we wNted to move to the balcony area - sorry, but we just wanted to see if it would be warm enough out there first!.

We ordered the ciabatta bread with dips, calamari and a Greek salad. The calamari were perfectly cooked which isn't easy and they were tasty. The 'ciabatta' bread was NOT a ciabatta bread - it was a regular white loaf. We did point this out but the waitress was having none of it and went to get the bill from the bakery where they got it (!) and waved it in our faces saying 'if you don't believe me - look here'. Yes, they had ordered a ciabatta bread but that wasn't what we got ... Anyway, we ate the white bread and it was fine.

It was just all together a strange service and the tables could do with a thorough clean - something which seems to be a bit of a theme around Auckland.
