We stayed in the room only one night. The room is in a old farm renewed in a modern but warm style. The room was furnished with very good taste. Clean and hosting absolutely accurate! Breakfast in French style, just delicious!

After a long day Veronique and her family were the perfect hosts. Not only a very comfortable and well appointed room with a lovely bathroom but a delicious dinner awaited us which was shared with the family and their other guests. Breakfast was as good as dinner and we would not hesitate to recommend Le Clos de Villedieu to anyone looking for accommodation in that part of France. Veronique makes her own delicious jam some of which has found its way back across the Channel! Secure parking is an added bonus.

Our stop over on our way home from 2 weeks Spain, almost in the middle of France.
With a safe parking spot for our fully packed car and super friendly and warm welcome by Veronique, we felt immediately at ease!
The rooms were decorated with style and were all cosy. The bathrooms were huge, great rainshower and bath! ( we stayed in La Nature, and Suite Gustavienne).
We joined Veronique and her family and another couple for dinner at the table d'hôtes and were really impressed with the service and the jumminess of the food :)
After a good night's rest, a real french petit dejeuner was waiting, with homemade 'confitures', croissants and baguettes :)
We left, making sure having written down all recipes and will be back!

While we (two adults and two children) were facing a long trip back home, we had decided beforehand to stop for the night somewhere in the middle and ended up at his lovely address - conveniently located near the A20. Upon arrival, after the warm welcome we had been given by the hostess, we were shown our connected rooms 'Nature' and 'Marco Polo'. Both rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated and featured a comfortable shower. We were at ease from the start. After a refreshing shower, we were invited to the table d'hôtes. The food was good and the hostess, her husband and the daughter were lovely company. So don't hesitate to reserve a seat! After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a strong breakfast (don't hesitate to taste the hostess' own made jams) and we happily continued our road.

In short, Le Clos Villedieu and her hostess are very charming and will make you feel at home.

We stayed three nights in this extremely charming Bed and breakfast 12 miles away from Châteauroux. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the bathrooms have all the modern neccessities. The hostess is really friendly, welcoming, and helpful (we only saw her husband very briefly, but he was also very pleasant). Breakfast is copious (juice, yogourt, baguette, croissants, wonderful homemade jams and cake, and of course coffee or tea), and served in the huge and gorgeous kitchen. The hostess saw us coming back the first night with a pizza and right away invited us to use the kitchen, set out the chinaware, and made us feel very at ease. We stayed in the lovely room "La Nature" with two very comfortable single beds that can be put together, a table with a chair, a flat screen tv, two armchairs, and several wall hooks with hangers (there is no dresser or cupboard however), and a separate beautiful bathroom with a (huge) shower and two sinks. We were travelling with my sister-in-law and her husband, and they were given the adjoining room which was very convenient. All in all, this was a difficult time for our family, and the warm welcome here was very much appreciated!
