“Fun day out for the children.”

Jakes is both a soft play area and a farm/outdoor area, so it has something for all kinds of weather.

The soft play area has two seperate areas. One for 0 - 4 year olds and one for the rest. The baby area is decent sized with a slide and lots of things to play with. The bigger area has alot of different things, so it makes it more fun for the children. There is a cafe indoors and they serve hot drinks, cold drinks and some food.

The farm has quite a few animals for the children to see. From hamsters to pony's. There is also a fairly big playground with lots of different sized things to play with.

You can spend the whole day here and its a cheap alternative to a day at a theme park.

The only downside to jakes is the price for babies is quite high, and also for adults who are only there to watch their children play.

Great for young children with plenty to keep them occupied for several hours.
Not impressed, however, with the staff. More interested in talking to each other and completely jobs worth when it came to food. Excellent range on offer but I just wanted a cheese and tomato sandwich. They had cheese, bread and tomatoes but, as it wasn't on the menu, were unable to oblige. Food took 45' to arrive, and the place didn't seem that busy, and one item had been missed. Presumably because the member of staff who took the order wasn't listening properly!
Oh yes, and some indeterminate liquid all over the floor in the gents. Probably won't be back!

We went with our 21 month old and it was brilliant. There were lots of animals for her to feed all of which were clearly used to children. There is a large outdoor play area and lots of places to walk around. There is an indoor soft play area which we didn't use but which looked really well equipped.

We would definitely recommend this place.

I'm extremely upset that I've just had to pay an entrance fee for my 5 month old who slept for the first half hour in his car seat and for the rest of the time, sat on my lap. It is disgusting that you charge for a non-existant service!! And that after I booked my daughter's birthday party with you. Just disgusting! Mums and babies not welcome!

My children loved this soft play area and the ability to feed the animals. Nice cafe too. Can get quite busy and a little noisy as all the venues do.
