“San juan night”

In the san juan night bar hopping tour, my first stop in das halpen cafe. Two artisan aleman beers and pretzel with mustard sauce, great combination . Nice ambience , great beers and good service.

“Wonderful food and ambiance”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

We stumbled upon this our last night in Rincon and are so glad we did. Excellent food and service. We tried a few samplers and will definitely make this our go-to spot the next time we are visiting in the town. YUMMY!

“Quiet evening in Rincon, Puerto Rico”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Location is very accesible (if you go by main street, there is no way you can miss it). The food is real good (not quite like in Germany, but it is the best on the island, as far as I have tried). The service was excellent, the background music was ok, actually Northern Italy (Dolomiten) and Souther Germany the main language is german, very few people speak italian, that's why I say about the music being ok. The restaurant was very cozy, clean and excatly the right amount of light for a quiet evening. The draft beer was very good, actually Hofbrau Hefe, if not mistaken.
I will rate it a 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Great job guys, keep it up.

“A little piece of Germany and Northern Italy in Rincon”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

We just had dinner at this place. Our first time. We came to take advantage of a Monday night special in which certain items in the menu were at half price. The food was very good. Service was excellent. The dining room is very comfortable with relaxing background music. The only cons are: dishes are a little pricey; and, the menu is too limited. I wish they had more offerings.
We'll definitely come back another Monday to eat from the half price offers.
They should add more affordable items to the menu and lower their regular prices and I'm sure that they'll have a full house every evening.

“our favorite RIncon restuarant - maybe we are missing German Mother's cooking”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Always consistently good food and offer a wide variety of good international wine and beers. We got there for every celebration; birthdays, Christmas, October Fest, and finishing our taxes. The food transports us back to our German/Swiss grandmother's table as she cooked with love. Attention to the details of the food, drink, and atmosphere. We have returned for years now.
