We went to Rincon for our honeymoon and had many great meals. Saltaire, however, stood out as the best in town and one of the best we've had anywhere. The chef came out to say hello and was very humble. Service at the bar was warm and inviting. Excellent wine list to go with the delicious menu. We will be returning to Rincon next year and will return to Saltaire at least once. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!

Too bad they closed for the summer. This is a very impressive restaurant with attentive service, a nice atmosphere, easy to find, and most importantly, excellent food.

We had the charbroiled octopus appetizer and it was truly to die for. I had a NY strip that was easily the best steak I've eaten in Puerto Rico. It was properly cooked and not drowned in some gooey sauce. I don't remember what my wifey ate but she loved it and we went back for another visit shortly thereafter and had an equally satisfying experience, in fact we were eagerly anticipating the octopus appetizer for a few days!

The drinks are good, the prices are a bit up there but the quality is first rate and that's what you'll remember. We look forward to the re-opening sometime in the fall, perhaps October or November.

The service was friendly, the company at our table of eight excellent, the food was decent if a bit overpriced ($28 for the pasta special was more expensive than almost anything else on the menu), and the ambiance was neither too bad nor too good (a bit on the hot side that day). Having had appetizers before arriving at the restaurant, I opted for only one course: the special – a spicy tomato sauce with calamari and shrimp over linguine. The tomato sauce was all right with nothing much to recommend it other than being spicy, topped with abundant calamari and four jumbo shrimp that were cooked well (not dried out or rubbery). The garlic bread was very good. The Pinot Grigio wine was a good pairing that did not overwhelm the dish. We had a waiter who was friendly and amenable to our somewhat complicated group order. Regarding ambiance, it was not unpleasant; it is situated on a covered, open deck in front of a hotel entrance, but there was no view (onto a side road) and without ceiling fans to freshen things up on a hot day. The entire experience was pleasant. Although I rated it very good, this particular meal fell between average and very good. For the price, there is good competition in the area.

My family of 7, adults and children had the most DELICIOUS meal at Saltaire when we were on spring break in March 2014!! Because we have a lot of children going to fancy restaurants doesn't usually happen, but they had a beautiful table that accommodated all of us, without feeling jammed in, or without feeling like they put us in a corner. The waitstaff was fantastic!!!!!! We had Hailey, and we couldnt tip her well enough, she was that wonderful. We met the chef Gaby, who is charming and clearly very talented, because EVERYTHING they brought out was amazing and delicious. There is another restaurant that is considered Saltaires competition, and I will warn you now.. DONT EVEN BOTHER with that other one... THERE WAS 0 comparison ... for a beautiful night out, with the best food, and staff... take the time, spend the money, have an awesome experience and create a wonderful memory for yourselves, with friends or with family. SALTAIRE is the one place you ABSOLUTELY must eat at while visiting Rincon Puerto Rico!!!! LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!!

We went with our daughters a little apprehensive because they can be loud but the experience was great. Service was friendly, courteous and efficient. The restaurant itself is an open terrace with nice and comfortable tables and chairs. The food was very good especially the appetizers of tuna and calamari, we only had two main dishes the gnocci and the fish of the day both were good. This is one of the best restaurants in town the other I can think of is Das Alpen.
