“Wedding and Honeymoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2007

My husband and I had our wedding and honeymoon at this property in December, 2004. The property is just as their (online) brochures describe - on the beach and wonderful. But the brochures fail to mention the people who take great pride in owning this great find. Harry and Lisa were so excellent in accomodating our wedding. We rented the entire place for 2 nights and all guests were more than satisfied. They even were nice enough to serve the whole party a fabulous, warm breakfast.

My family is Puerto Rican and can be very demanding, but Lisa rolled with the punches beautifully and managed to keep everyone happy!

The property is on the beach, close to other hotels that feature bars and restaurants. All rooms are air conditioned, which is rare in Puerto Rican residences. The rooms are all kept immaculate with great sheets and beds. If you're wondering why you should stay here, there's something wrong with you. We can't wait to go back!

Wow - I read this review and the response, but was still surprised when I was also greeted with a seemingly rude and hurried response from the B&B. I did not call during late hours; in fact it was early afternoon. There wasn't availability during the time that I had requested but did not appreciate being rushed off the phone. Perhaps it was better that there wasn't availability. I work in a customer service business and feel that customer service should apply from the initial contact through to the customer walking out the door!

Rincon is a great destination for a relaxing beach vacation and Tres SIrenas is a fabulous place to stay. Only steps from the waves, the rooms are comfortable, artfully decorated and immaculate. Breakfasts are delicious and Harry and Lisa's gracious hospitality is icing on the cake. This is a great place.

please note: i am writing a review about phoning to book a reservation. i did not stay at the inn, but think that this feedback is useful for those considering this establishment. here is what happened: i called on december 11, and inquired about room availability for two people on december 28th. i mentioned that another very nice inn had referred me to them. the woman who answered the phone laughed at my inquiry and hung up the phone. there was no demurring to suggest i try another time, no interest in perhaps referring me elsewhere, just a touch of mockery and a dial tone. i gather it's an exceptional place, from all the positive reviews. my experience, however would lead me to put this place on the list of those not to be patronized. rudeness is anathema to hospitality.

TresSirenas, Owner at Tres Sirenas Beach Inn, responded to this review, 13 December 2006
We at Tres Sirenas regret the writers experience when contacting us regarding a reservation. The phone call requesting information was received after 11:30 p.m., and we had already retired for the evening. Tres Sirenas is a very small intimate property, typical of a Bed & Breakfast ,as the owners we wake very early to prepare the grounds and breakfast for our gracious guests. We too need a good nights sleep! We welcome the callers phone call during daily business hours to discuss all the lodging in Rincon and around the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico. We take great pride in using the Tripadvisor Forum to offer unbiased information regarding Rincon, and are always happy to recommend fellow guest houses, B&B's and the area hotels. It should be advised that at Tres Sirenas we have been booked for Christmas now for almost a year, as have most of the other established lodgings in Rincon. The week between Cristmas and New Year's is historicaly the busiest everywhere, with everyone on holiday. Planning must begin very early to ensure a fabulous vacation.

My husband and I spent a glorious 5 days and 4 nights at Tres Sirenas Inn. Unfortunately, we flew into San Juan (big mistake) and drove almost 3 hours to the town of Rincon. Unless you really want to see San Juan or the highways of P.R., our greatest advice is to FLY INTO AGUADILLA! Although JetBlue's only flight is near midnight, it's well worth it to make the most of your stay!! Upon arrival, we were a bit taken back by the location of the Inn because it was actually just at the end of a regular street with other houses. However upon entering the Tres Sirenas grounds, we felt like we were in a world by ourselves. The inn literally kisses the Ocean and thanks to Harry, the innkeeper, the grounds were always pristine. We stayed in the Sea View apartment which was absolutely immaculate. Lisa, the innkeeper went above and beyond to give the rooms a quaint and homey feel. She placed yummy smelling candles all around the room and encouraged us to light them. There was also an amazing collection of books and magazines in our room on every subject imaginable. Breakfast was served every morning around 9:00 a.m. and included things like quiche, banana walnut pancakes and fresh fruit. Everything was artfully displayed. Staying in the Sea View apartment gave us a huge adavantage as we were just adjacent to the innkeepers living space and served right on our private patio. The great part is that everyone was served privately as there was no common dining space as typical in most traditional bed and breafkast's. I can't say enough about the thoughtful touches that went into making this place special. For instance, near the pool area was a little nook with a bookcase containing a DVD library (much to choose from) and an array of books as well as a choice of hot teas.

The other great thing about Tres Sirenas is that everyone had their own private entrance to their room from the outside. There is no indoor common area. This is great because if you didn't want to see people, you didn't have to. There are only 4 rooms at the Inn so there are many times that you will have the pool and jacuzzi all to yourself. The only small negative for us was that the town of Rincon was a bit too developed for our personal taste and not as isolated as we hoped for. In a perfect world, Tres Sirenas would be plopped down in the middle of Culebra somewhere. Other than that, all we can say is bravo, bravo, bravo for a wonderful stay at a quaint, intimate and classy establishment.

  • Liked — Felt like a House in the Hamptons
  • Disliked — The town was not as "unspoiled" as we would have liked.
  • Tips/Secrets — Fly into Aguadilla

First of all this trip was long overdue. We were married in December 2005 and we finally found time for our honeymoon time, together in October 2006.
We chose Rincon, PR because we have had many friends visit and were very pleased. We looked on line for a special place to stay and we found it by far at Tres Sirenas. We can't say enough not only about the location, the place the room but for the graciousness of our host Lisa & Harry. They know just what it takes to make your time there most pleasent. The days started for us watching Harry do his morning chores while Lisa prepares a breakfast fit for royality. The room was perfect, may we suggest the beachfront room with the loft. Although there were only the two of us we wanted this room becauce of the second floor view and the balcony.
Listen I could go on and on but the review will still share the same tone, we could only be pleased and found nothing we would change right down to the housekeeper.
Thank you see you soon, dave & donabeth

We arrived back in Boston to 46 degree and rainy weather after a 5 day stay at Tres Sirenas Beach Inn only to start planning our next trip there to visit. Our stay could not have been better except if we had a little more time in Rincon and the surrounding area. The house is beautiful and provided us with the perfect balance of comfort and independence supplemented by wonderful hosts Harry and Lisa. Every morning we sat on the deck outside our room and ate wonderful breakfasts cooked by Lisa which were only surpassed by the view. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the house is equipped with everything you may need while visiting Rincon. Every day we went to the beach with chairs, towels and even a cooler that we used from the house. In fact, on the day of our arrival the swell was 5’-7’ and they lent me their surfboard to use at one of the local breaks. In addition tangible accoutrements, Harry and Lisa know all about Rincon and the area and are happy to share all that they know if you ask them.
Finally, this was our first trip to PR and we were not sure what to expect. All I can say is that it is a spectacular place to visit. While it is a short skip and a jump from the mainland, you arrive to a wonderful island which is worlds away in regards to culture, pace and activities. Once there, you will find a plethora of activities and places to see ranging from pampered resorts to more remote excursions. We look forward to returning to Rincon and will definitely go back to Tres Sirenas Beach Inn to see our new friends Lisa and Harry.
