“very good food and breathtaking sunsets!”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Calypso is a great spot to view surfers and sunsets. The atmosphere is casual, good service and good food. The price is fair and you can even shop next door for some great clothes, flip flops, hand made jewelry, etc. Sonia is awesome. Totally recommend.

“Great food & Great Location”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 via mobile

Calypso serves an assortment of delicious casual food. It's by the water in the Puntas section of Rincon, PR. We go once sometimes twice a week for lunch. We get a variety of plates and share them. Spring rolls, Buffalo chicken wings and chicken and cheese quesadillas are our absolute favorites. They also sell salads, burgers, kids menus, and great chili in addition to varied other options. Drinks can't be beat. Always a lovely breeze winding it's way around this great casual restaurant. Staff is effecient, fun and really nice. Go have fun and I can tell u the prices are fair. Entertainment on the weekends too. Eclectic gift shop as well. It's not a costly place to eat. Enjoy!!!!!

“Average Food But Atmosphere and Location Bring It Up”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

This patron friendly eatery is located at Marias beach which is very popular with the surfers. It is good for food after grinding away at the waves all day. There is a mix of tourists and island part timers here. There are also some small shops here to buy some beach clothing.

The menu is average. Beach bar food with cheeseburgers, fries, wings, salads, brews, and margaritas. There are some views of the ocean/beach. Parking is not a problem with a street and designated parking lot available.

“Excellent food, drinks, and live music in a relaxed beach atmosphere.”

We spent a week in Rincon and enjoyed the close access and relaxed atmosphere of the Calypso!
I recommend that you consider this location for rentals and the Calypso.

“Casual and convenient”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

We were staying in a villa right down the hill from this place. It's not fancy, but the service was friendly, food was tasty, and location was perfect. I had the guava bbq chicken sandwich and it was pretty delicious! Other reviews said the food took a long time, but I didn't find that to be the case.
