We had only been looking for an accommodation close to Bristol Airport - but we've found a B&B that's really worth to stay at longer. Above all, the hosts (and all family members we've met) are amiable and make your stay a very pleasant one. The room we stayed in (with views over the back garden and the bay) was very large and comfortable, with a huge bathroom. At breakfast, we were given a table in a small nook, what let us feel like sitting in a conservatory and we could enjoy lovely views while eating.

Very welcoming, lovely room, great breakfast and fantastic location. Very deserving of its 5 stars and so pleased that our little dog was also welcome. Shall be recommending this beautiful establishment to family and friends :-)

Just got back from our second trip to Church House. This one was to celebrate a wedding anniversary and we were thrilled once again to the attention to detail given by our hosts Jane and Tony for whom nothing is too much trouble First impressions count and as soon as we entered the stunning hallway we felt welcome. Our room was tastefully decorated with a beautiful sea view. The hotel has a stunning Conservatory to relax in after a long journey looking out onto well kept gardens. We would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet break away from it all Glynis and Rob

We cannot add much to the preceding 90+ reviews re this establishment, but can confirm their veracity on the basis of our recent two night stay.
It is undeniable that the building, and to a lesser extent its location, are favourable, BUT Tony and Jane provide the subjective elements to offering an outstanding B&B experience. The Masterchef breakfasts produced by Tony exude perfection, but there is so much more that pleases above the norm of expectation, e.g. the Mastermind local knowledge of Jane as demonstrated by her detailed response to an impromptu question about the Portbury Hundreds.
Our suggestion list has only one item – that the hosts consider exploiting their talents by offering to guide other B&B providers that wish to optimise their offering to their customers. Such a move has the potential for improving the experience of many more B&B customers than those privileged to directly enjoy the Church House experience.

This place is wonderful!
Welcoming hosts, beautiful location and rooms, spotlessly clean, and a breakfast fit for a king! (or queen)
My partner is a vegan, and this presented no problem to Jane and Tony.
A wonderful variety of fruits, nuts and grains - I've never seen him so relaxed when eating away from home.
Highly recommended.

Very good little hotel in old vicarage, in a beautiful setting. It's an old vicarage, nicely modernized, with a fine garden, own car park, and views over Sand Bay. Some of the neighbors have unusual pets. Not a traditional "seaside" hotel - drive to nearby Weston super Mare for that - more a country retreat. Very friendly hosts. We're planning to copy the ensuite shower room for our new house. Negatives: You need a car; no wifi.
