Just spent a very pleasant 2 weeks at this lovely property.
The house is situated in a picturesque and interesting little village and sits in an elevated position with great views across the countryside.
We were very comfortable staying here. The owners were really helpful and have great local knowledge.
They struck the right balance between being available and respecting our privacy.
The house has recently been renovated and has been well thought about with everything you would need to make for a good self catering holiday.
We would highly recommend this property.
We had a wonderful stay at L’Olivier. The autumn was a lovely time to visit and the views were superb from the balcony both morning and evening. We had breakfast on the terrace each day – a wonderful place to plan the day’s activities.
Neffies is a charming old village: it has an excellent bakery just around the corner from the L’Olivier, a good bar (which serves meals) and a decent and very busy restaurant so there is a choice of places to go in the evening without having to drive.
We chose to eat in most evenings as we love visiting the local markets and small independent shops to buy produce. There seemed to be a market within a short drive most days. Cooking at L’Olivier was great - the kitchen/living room area is open, sociable and comfortable. The kitchen itself is wonderfully spacious and well equipped, making cooking (and wine drinking) a great pleasure. We didn’t need to use the wood burner, but I imagine it is lovely in the kitchen/living room with that alight.
So a lovely place and really helpful owners – we crossed over with them and they were very concerned to meet our needs and full of great advice on the area – thanks to them we did a wonderful circular walk from the house and took their recommendation on a local wine producer to go wine tasting. We’d love to come back and see Neffies in another season. Next time we will plan to stay longer.
Our week's stay in L'Olivier was just perfect, helped no doubt by the fine weather. The property is very comfortable with with a terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. While Neffies does not have many shops, amazingly it has two very good restaurants, just a walk away. The Mediterranean is about 40 miles away. If wine tasting is your thing, don't worry, there are a multitude of them in the area.
Your hosts are David and Brenda who are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
You won't be sorry if you choose this gite.
This little house oozes the passion and attention to detail imbued in its very fabric by the friendly and knowledgable owners, David & Brenda. Beautifully appointed and equipped to the highest standards, the house also benefits from 2 fantastic outside spaces - one sunny and one shadier, complete with gas BBQ. The village of Neffiès is a delight - we had drinks at the bar of L'Estampette watching the sunset and a fantastic dinner at La Very'Table ( excellent value too). There are so many places to visit nearby - from fantastic walks to charming towns and the seaside. Our short visit was nowhere near enough time to do the area justice so we will definitely be going back!
We recently spent a fantastic and truly relaxing extended weekend at L'Olivier, David and Brenda were amazing hosts and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, they know so much about the local area and were so helpful in giving us background on the local area and places to visit. L'Olivier is a really lovely house and has recently been fully updated to a very high spec, it honestly felt like a home from home which added to how relaxed and enjoyable our stay was.
There are two amazing restaurants in the Village and we tried them both, fully recommend you try them on David and Brenda's recommendation,
Local Vineyards in abundance, great Wine, great food, and there's even a Beach nearby, we know we'll book again.
Wow what a lovely place. Within walking distance to the local restaurants which serve fantastic food. The rooms and beds looked great and were really comfy. Bathroom was equipped with a relaxing waterfall shower. The views from both the balcony and the bedrooms were something you could never grow tired of and will be truly missed.
We had a fantatic 3 night stay, a lovely property, very well finished with everything you need!
We went to a couple of the local restaurants, and the village bakery which are all within walking distance, and excellent!
The best part is the view, whether your lying in bed or sat on the terrace with a glass of the local wine, its breath taking....
Thanks for having us, the perfect hosts :)
