We spent a nice relaxing afternoon at Fairhaven. Some people have complained it was too expensive, but compared to plenty of national trust open days, I think it is not bad. The water areas were lovely and we liked the bird hut, although we didn't see too many birds at the time. If you enjoy walking around woodlands and just enjoying the greenery and wildlife, it's quite charming. I think with the bird hut possibly you should call them up and ask what time of day is best, as it has a good set up for viewing that it would be good to take advantage of.
We had a little bit of ice cream from the shop and that was a nice treat after our walking.
