I would recommend this nice hotel to everyone, who wants to visit Kerala. The views to the Backwaters and the beach are wonderful. Service in hotel and restaurant is very good. The rooms are clean and the equipment is adequate. Food in the restaurant is delicious.

The first thing that we were impressed with, as soon as we landed here was the hospitality. The staff, right from the security at the gate to the staff at the reception are extremely helpful. In fact, even before our booking was confirmed (due to some goof-ups), the bell boys deposited our luggage into the lobby, ask us to wait and offered us a welcome drink.
The next thing is the room itself. Considering that we went in for the Superior room (basic), we did not expect a great view, but found the room spacious enough and very clean. The balcony too was clean with absolutely no dust (which you usually expect to find in properties that are close to the beach and main road). The toiletries too were of very good quality.
While we did have a brief glimpse of the beach at night, it was only the next morning that we were able to totally appreciate the location and the maintenance of this property. The beach, which is quite a long stretch and quite clean too, is right across the road (barely 20 metres away) and the lawn at the rear of this property is located right by the backwaters. The view from there is amazing and you can spend hours just lazing in a chair or reading a book. The swimming pool, which is also at the rear is very well maintained and clean.
Food at the restaurant is one thing that we were not totally happy with.
Overall, we had an amazing stay thanks to the helpful and attentive staff and the location.

We stayed in Blue Waters Cherai for 2 nights / 3days. Stay was very good. Hotel is very good. Rooms are big. Bathrooms are very clean. Well maintained. The public beach is across the road. Backside of the resort is the backwaters. Speed boats are not allowed. Staff were very helpful and arranged a 'Kettuvallom' for 2 hours (ofcourse we paid). Swimming pool and gym was good. They also have a Spa. No other activities especially for children. Restaurant menu is good for just 2-3 days. Priced very reasonable. Over all we had a good peaceful stay for 3 days.

If you want to go to city and explore it is not a good choice. Staff are friendly (however thay could be more informative about the product and entertainment opthions in and around the hotel). Nice back water and beach but no activities available to enjoy.

I had the opportunity to stay in Cherai for 5 days. Initially I stayed in a beach side hotel which I found not upto the standards and hence had to move to Bluewaters. First and foremost, I was quite impressed by the warm welcome by the front desk staff. They were very cooperative throughout the stay. First day I stayed in a superior room which was more economical compared to the Suite. Though the room is not that spacious, it comes with a balcony and enough wardrobes. The next 3 days I stayed in the suite… enough spacious and well decorated with good quality furniture. The sea facing balcony is something that you would really love.

The absolute delight was the free breakfast. I had the liberty to order items of my choice and restaurant staff was all accommodative. Something that I don’t often see in the hotels in God’s own country. Not to my surprise, there was no wifi in rooms and that is quite common in most of the hotels in kerala and for that matter in most of the star hotels in India. Instead you can use the computer in reception.

Given a choice, you may want to avoid the rooms in ground floor as at times the noisy party hall can wake you up in the night!

The beach is crowded on weekends and evenings by locals. Surprisingly, the beach does not have enough shops or other quality restaurants / coffee shops. You may have to go 2km to even top up your mobile or buy a fruit juice.

To conclude, I would recommend blue waters to those who prefer an economical and yet pleasant stay.

Cheers!
Jitheesh

The resort is nicely placed between a quite stretch of backwater and the beach. We spent a wonderful day complete with lunch and dinner. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The food was quite good. The rooms were well maintained as well. This is a nice choice for a stay at Cherai Beach.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side and first floor are good choices.

Very good location for ppl who wants to come and relax enjoying the beach, which is like 10 steps away,,u have bars like connected to the hotel so it is like a heaven for people who prefer something hot,,only issue is highly chlorinated swimming pool which wud make ur eyes bright red through out the day lol,,and if incase using the cherai beach at night, highly not advisable coz the locals there are really unsafe and might take away all ur things and not safe if u have a feminine gender,so good to be at the hotel in the night ,while enjoy the beach during the mornings,,very good service also.
