I stayed in this hotel for 1 night in May 2014 since I had a safari to Udawalawe the next morning. This hotel definitely does not worth 45 usd a night, the room was dirty and run down, lot of bugs and mosquitoes, the mosquito net was dirty, wifi not working. Also, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you need a driver to move around. The accommodation provided to my driver was a shame. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only good thing is that my rice and curry and breakfast were good.

Very nice and clean rooms. Rooms are big and so is the bathroom. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They organised our afternoon safari trip and it was great! Accommodation available if you are travelling with a driver.

(+) Clean and independant cottages with terrace
(+) Amasing breakfast
(+) Lovely living room
(+) Ideally located to reach Udawalawe national park

(-) The kitchen staff was incredibly slow to cook a macaroni dish (1 hour to get it) even if only 3 tables were occupied
(-) A bit expensive ($50 per night breakfast included)

If you come for holiday or your vacation Don't stepping to thais hotel. If you come for war you go there. The manager & the owner of the hotel don't care you for foot, they thought they are the people, about the hospilaty,.
The food was the horrible food had in my life. As Jenn Marks, say's they treated the drivers & also there own staff worstly.

Room Tip: Don,t go there.

The manager did *not* like Americans (though he said he did). He treated our drivers very poorly, insisting that the drivers quarters were 'first come, first serve' and that there was no room for them after we had been told that of course they have quarters for drivers. After arguing, he agreed to give our drivers quarters, but told them that they could not eat his food. (Drivers are always fed by the hotels.) When our drivers got to their quarters, they were the *only* ones there. All of this seemed to be because we did not use the hotel to book our safari. The manager wanted to charge us more than double the price that we were able to get through our drivers. The rooms smelled terrible (bleach in my room, which was better than my friends' rooms). The eggs with breakfast were cold by the time they arrived, as was the toast which arrived over 30 minutes after the eggs. I have nothing good to say about this place. We had booked for two nights, but left after the first even though we had paid for both nights.

We stood for one night in a very basic non A/C Cabana, which was OK. Very helpful staff and a great Manager. Breakfast after the trip to the park was superb! But, the garden is a mess and there are construction works going on. All in all a good place to stay.

When we arrived to the hotel, there were some problems with the booking so that we have to wait till they prepare the room for us.
It was small room and old bathroom. We take the room, because it looks clean. They clean it in front of us.
However, after few minutes the new insect appear in the room. Further, the room is very hot. Even the fan does not help.
Then we go for dinner. Very long way to the restaurant. We ordered some rice and chicken and chicken and potatoes. The service was terrible. The waiter did not offer us and drink, so we must ask for them extra. If thye bring the glasses they were dirty,so we ask for straw.
After long timethez bring the meal, it was OK. Taste nothing special.
In the morning, we went for the safari. We get the snack. It was good.
After safari,we have breakfast. The breakfast was rich - omellets, fresh juice, yoghurt, cake and toast, but again very slow.
