This pub is set in an idyllic location in a quaint and small village. The menu is individual however with beautiful specials and a decent menu.

The staff are friendly and all in all, it’s a wonderful spot for a drink and a bite to eat.

Potential visitors need to be aware that the pub closes during the afternoon which for some folk, especially those arriving from a 24 hour all access location, might present a challenge.

Otherwise this pub perfectly reflects the laid back and relaxed atmosphere of the village in which it is located. Enjoy

Visited this pub for lunch. Have been here many times and it's always been fine

Ordered the mussels as a starter which arrived with a little bit of fresh bread. Once that bread had been eaten I asked the waitress if we could have some more bread. She said she would ask and then wandered off. She then returned and said "chef says you cannot have more bread unless you pay for it" who said I wouldn't pay for it? Because of this I asked "how much is the bread then?" Again the pleasant waitress wandered off feeling slightly embarrassed by this point. Some bread then arrived served by the owner/manageress I think. Nothing was said. When I paid the bill there was just 50p extra for the bread. Why on earth bother going through all that rigmarole for 50p. I would suggest that the chef stays in the kitchen and never comes out if this is his idea of customer service- what an attitude, don't be so tight Gordon Ramsey.

I have previously enjoyed a meal at this pub, but the meal we had on the 7th of June was very disappointing. The starters were Rillette of duck/prawn & cray stack, no taste. Mains beef lasagne, which was very dry and no flavour, the only thing that looked homemade was the chips, burger was very mediocre. The quality of the ingredients, especially the meat was VERY, VERY POOR, and expensive for was we had. We were so disappointed that we will NOT RETURN

Located in a quaint village we stopped by for a bite as we’re staying nearby for a short airport stint in the morning. Food was fabulous, presented well and delicious. Friendly and atendtive staff made sure we had a fab experience. Would definitely recommend a stop in here if near by.

We have been here a couple of times recently and can recommend the food which is wholesome and tasty. Real ales are available and there is a nice garden. All this in a great village location what more can you ask for!
