We lucked out and were given a corner room on the top floor of the Parador in Ronda overlooking the bridge and the gorge -- the view was incredible. Ronda was one of the highlights of our trip to Andalucia and next time I would spend more time in Ronda and less in Arcos. Our room was comfortable. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat in August. We did purchase a half-board meal plan (breakfast and dinner) which I would not recommend. While the food was good, it was not very good value for money and you could get much better meals for far less money elsewhere in Ronda. Service was good. Join the Amigos club and parking is 10Euros per night instead of 20.

Another beautiful Parador in Spain - and what a view. This beautiful Parador is located in the centre of the city, in a privileged location right next to the Puente Nuevo built in 1761.The Parador itself sits on the edge of a gorge with unique views of the Tagus and the valley below. The Parador is comfortably decorated, spacious and has split level suites with terraces. From our room, the view of the valley below was breathtaking. Ronda is the Queen of the white towns with its main feature being the immense chasm, a geological cleft in the rock that plunges about 100metres. On the south side of the New Bridge is the classic Moorish pueblo blanco of cobbled alleys, window grilles and whitewashed buildings. The new town is a magnificent example of regional Andalusian architecture. Both the old and new towns are within an easy walk from the Parador and there is a mini bus which leaves the Bull Ring courtyard on an hourly timetable, which takes one around the old and new townships and down into the valley for magnificent views of the Parador and the whitewashed buildings of the old and new towns. This would have to be one of the most spectacular towns were have ever visited.

Room Tip: It would be of an advantage to ask for "a room with a view please" - you won't be disa...

We started our recent tour of Andalucía in Ronda - and what a way to start! The hotel has a fabulous location right at the bridge and overlooking the gorge. There is a pool garden with fabulous views, and a terrace bar overlooking the bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful - we had booked at Booking.com, and they gave us a free upgrade to a duplex suite without us asking. Gorge view, lots of space, and fabulous toilet products! It's a special hotel, in a stunning location. The building was apparently the town hall of the town originally, and is an impressive building from the outside. That makes it all the more disappointing, that the interior is so neutral and characterless. (Not the room - that was lovely!). You really could be anywhere. As we could tell at breakfast, they cater to a lot of tour groups. Someone told me that that kind of neutral functionality is what that kind of traveller likes...apparently. Breakfast was included in the room price - it was fine, though the service was haphazard - at least the re-filling of the buffet. The only criticism or question here is: why does a hotel of this quality, charging their prices (I believe in the bill breakdown the breakfast is listed as costing 18€), water-down the fresh orange juice?! A small point in a great experience though!

Our first stay at a Parador hotel was let down by poor service - we arrived after check in time but were kept waiting in hotel lobby for 90 minutes until the room was cleaned. No apology and we had to prompt the front desk clerk after 90 minutes to check if our room was ready yet...they had forgotten. A shame as the hotel is in a great location with beautiful views and we were pleased with the quality and size of our room. Our first and only meal was a shared tapas was disappointing - worst meal we have had in Spain so far.

Great location overlooking bridge & with far reaching countryside views. Historic attractive building. Great medium sized pool. Very very good food. Haphazard staff. Lovely room with terrace. I love Paradors.

best location to the puente nuevo and the canyon, very nice staff, not the most modern hotel, but overall very good, we (family of 4) enjoyed it very much, very close to the plaza de torres, a lot of very good nearby restaurants

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden/pool, then you will have a wonderful view

Came to Ronda for one night at a separate hotel, saw this place from the outside and decided to stay another night!

The thing that attracted us most was the stunning location- literally in the heart of ronda next to the spectacular bridge. It also had a pool which in the heat we experienced was an absolute necessity!

The hotel staff were really helpful and pleasant- the breakfast team were extremely efficient. having only booked our standard room 24hours prior to arrival we emailed our special requirements (room with a view!)...and were surprised to be upgraded to a superior room with thee most amazing views!

It's a little rough around the edges and in need of an upgrade so for that reason I wouldn't pay 140euros for a standard room here. We paid less than this for a beautiful junior suite just a little down the road.

If the price was a bit more reasonable it would have a full 5 stars from us!
