My family and I ate here one stifling hot lunchtime in July when hunger hit us on a busy day of sight seeing. It was one of the highlights of our day in Ronda! We sat in the shade of the ancient city wall while the wonderfully warm, sincere, funny and charming Guillermo told us of his menu. He was asked to provide my husband and I with a selection of his best dishes, and to cater for our 3 boys - aged 1 and a half, 5 and an 8yr old who is severely allergic to egg and fish. Nothing was a problem!!,He brought out beautiful chicken skewers and tagine and mini burgers for the boys and even the baby partook of the mushroom risotto and parmesan icecream! As for us 2 we couldn't have enjoyed the food more- dish after dish of stunning creations and combinations all with an imaginative twist and served beautifully! Guillermo deserves his success and really seems to enjoy his work....We cant recommend this place highly enough. A special memory!

There are many dining options in Ronda. De locos does need this review obviously, but excellence must be rewarded too. The food was indeed very good but the personal service service made the luncheon a delight. In a tourist trap area, restaurants like these stand out. The location for us made it as easy as stepping out of the front door of our accomodations. The weather was a perfect accompaniment to a lovely outdoor setting in a stone courtyard.
ADVANCE reservations ONLY. Book as soon as can. If you must, ask for cancellations.
Buen provecho

Decided to visit Ronda for the day and used Trip Advisor to research lunch venue. Followed the previous reviews and booked a table at De Locos Tapas.

Upon reaching Ronda we struggled to find parking so had to run to the restaurant to make our booking, the family were saying to me "this better be worth it"....and boy wasn't it just, and more.

Family of 4 with varying tastes (kids are 10 and 12). We each found multiple options on the menu and then spent the next 3 hours working our way through 17 dishes!

Beef carpaccio, scallops, pancetta and lamb skewers were some of our favourites.

Guillermo was also a fantastic host.

I would happily recommend paying a visit if in Ronda or even making a special trip, making sure you have booked before setting off of course.

We will definitely pay another visit when in the region.

THANK YOU GUILLERMO and team!

If there's a tapas bar in Ronda, that's better than this, I want to know about it. My husband and I shared a variety of vegetarian, fish, meat and sweet dishes and it was impossible to chose a favourite. The fact that there are only six tables, with a maximum of 24 covers, in a tiny square, each served by the attentive and entertaining owner, just adds to the experience. Unless you are prepared to be disappointed book, least 30 people were turned away while we we ate.

6 tables in a small square just inside the town walls at the southern end of the old town. A genial owner with very good English and a sense of humour. No pretensions whatsoever. Outstandingly good tapas at very reasonable prices. A classic Andalusian experience. Book! We had to reserve a table two days in advance.
