“Great Bridge”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

This bridge connects the old town with the more recent. Fantastic view down to the gorge (which can be reached via a path). Just one of many sights to see or visit in Ronda

“Stunning!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

The reviews on here sum it up! Great to see it at night too as the bridge takes on a completely different feeling.

Enter from the park and walk around the hotel for the best views of the valley and bridge.

Ronda is a beautiful town and we'll be going back at done point in the future.

Worth a visit!

“Stunning Views”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

While I was here, I noticed spotlights on the side of the cliff pointing toward the bridge so travelers could see this at night. I arrived during the day and would highly recommend doing the same so that you get the full effect of the beauty and the views. Our tour guide mentioned that the new bridge that crosses the gorge was built between the years 1751 through 1793 because the previous bridge had collapsed after just 6 years. There are lots of little souvenir shops and restaurants surrounding this area and all is within walking distance of the bus station. This is a nice day trip to take if you are staying in the Mijas Costa del Sol area.

“It make your head turn”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

El Tajo gorge is 120m deep and 68 m wide. The view is breath taking; it makes your head turn. You have to check out this gorge in different levels, thew view from the bridge is not enough.
If you are an adventurer you can hike all the way down the gorge in about 45-60 mins.
For me, I found an easy walk (Calle Rosario turn right on Calle Escolleras) to a beautiful park ( Jardines De Cuenca). This little park has different levels of terraces to give you a chance to look up to the 200 year old extraodinary stone bridge and look down, all the way down to the gorge. Every angle is breath taking. When you go all the way down to the park gate, you will get to Calle Real and Puente Viejo" Old Bridge". You can have another perspective view of this gorge. At your right hand side you will see a 16th century old gothic church “Nuestro Padre Jesús” and the bell tower. At your left hand side is the Old city gate and wall. At your back, you will see Arab "Roman" Bridge below and the lush valley. Any which way you look is refreshing beauty.
It only take 1 1/4hr drive from Costa del sol. You wouldn't regret it!
Happy travelling!

“Spectacular gorge”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

You can get views of this amazing gorge from the Ponte Nuevo at the top or, for the more adventurous, there is the opportunity to hike down and look back up.
