My wife and I were in Ronda for two days, the hotel is in the old town, 3 minutes walk from el puente nuevo. The room was comfortable and clean and opening the window to El Tajo de Ronda was a treat. I would go back and stay at Montelirio again over and over

The highlight is the terrace restaurant overlooking the bridge. Friendly helpful staff. They have 5 parking spaces off site but transfer your car to and from the hotel as you want (16.5 Euros a day). Prebook if you want a space as there is no easy public parking by the hotel , but some public cars parks 3-400 M away. Food is good in the restaurant, but it's location is the thing. Sunset from the terrace is lovely. Rooms, ours were standard, are good with in bath shower, comfortable beds, buffet breakfast with cooked eggs to order. There is a lower terrace to sit on with about 8 sun loungers and a very small pool approx 3 x 4 m, to cool in , not form swimming. Great romantic location with attentive staff. Good pre booked rates, approx 1/2 the rack rate. sligt street noise, but it was a festival time.

If you stay in Ronda, you must stay here. The view was breath taking, and can not be described or fully appreciated in pictures alone. We had dinner on their restaurant terrace at sunset, and were blown away, by the food, view, and experience. What a wonderful romantic way to spend our 24th wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very welcoming. While in Spain we visited Barcelona, Malaga, Ronda, Sevilla and Madrid, and this hotel, view and city were one of the top highlights of our trip.

Room Tip: Make sure to chose a room with the view of the Gorge.

We did not stay in this hotel, but sure will next time we are in Ronda. We did have dinner in the restaurant, however.
The view from the dining terrace is tremendous and the ambience is great. So choose your dining companion with care. It is a highly recommended place if you're on a romantic visit. Whether it is just plain love, a honeymoon or even glowing ember time, you and your partner will appreciate this place. The food very good as well, as is the service. You will like it here!

The location of this old palace converted into a charming hotel is simply spectacular! It has a commanding view of El Tajo gorge and the surrounding bosky mountain. Our Marrakech room is beautifully furnished and has a vista that transmitted tranquility. The management attached importance to the quality of the food they served for breakfast as well as to the toiletries. The hotel's resto that perched on the plateau has an equally outstanding reputation as the hotel. So, have a lunch or a dinner here and indulge yourself in local specialties. I had a great delight in my menu (starter: red prawn balls with cocktail sauce; main course: stewed oxtail a la Ronda style, which was very tender and relishable; dessert: apple crisp tatin with ice cream; wine: chincilla red wine from Ronda). Moreover, this is an excellent place to watch the beautiful sunset while having a romantic meal.
